Canadians abroad: Dec 20 - Dec 26 2019

Recommended Posts

  • In this thread post match updates on all Canadians abroad for Dec 20th - Dec 26th, 2019.
  • If you find updates posted in some other thread then post them here as well, but be sure to credit the original poster.
  • If there is news that is particularly significant (eg. someone scores a big goal, someone gets injured, etc.) then feel free to begin a new thread on that topic in order to draw greater attention or start a discussion, but also post that news here.
  • Some comments on news posted in this thread are okay, but let's not let this thread go off into a long discussion. If the news already appears in another thread (as per the previous bullet) then post your comments in that other thread, otherwise if you want to say something significant or if it is likely to generate replies then begin a new thread.

Belgium

Zorhan Bassong is on the Cercle Brugge bench for today’s match with KV Kortrijk. Remained on the bench.

England

Junior Hoilett starts against Millwall. Came out in extra time in a 1-1 final.

Leutwiler is on the bench for today’s match with Birmingham City. Remained on the bench.

Scotland

Scott Arfield starts against Kilmarnock, Liam Millar starts on the other side. Millar is playing upfront today. Came out in the 63rd, can’t imagine he had any fun at all, Killie just pumped the ball up the park and sat with everyone behind the ball otherwise. Arfield also came out in the 63rd. Game ended 1-0 Rangers

David Wotherspoon starts against Hamilton. 90 minutes in a 1-0 win

Harry Paton starts against Motherwell. 90 minutes in a late 2-1 loss.

Belgium

Jonathan David starts against Standard Liège

90 in a 1-0 win, Gent are second but Charleroi have two games in hand in 4th and Antwerp 1 game in hand in 3rd. Club Brugge are really running away with it presently. But if they did the playoff split today it would be within ~6 points
