He only had 1 goal from open play for Valour (2 if you include an empty netter). And although he was possibly the league's best penalty taker and did rack up 5 assists, he also had a penchant for continually losing possession by just taking people on until he eventually lost the ball. Exciting to watch but the total end result did not match. Was also a bit of an oft-injured china doll. He was one of Valour's best players in 2019 but that ain't sayin' much. There is a reason he is not wanted by clubs in higher leagues. York needs a penalty taker badly.
baulderdash77
Petrasso is a big upgrade for York9. Manella was a big pickup too. If they can re-sign Telfer they will have a good team. They called the Petrasso signing weeks ago but then I had to rewind to find that it was only in a segment called 'Dream Signings'. Something about the one player that each team would like to sign from another CPL team's roster. Had to rewind that part after seeing Abzi ending up on Calgary and Ingham on HFX...and I was "WHAAAAAT???" Take a breath...OK only 'dream signings'. I wonder if his brother Luca will be back on TFC II next season? Edited December 25, 2019 by Rocket Robin

SoccMan
So why was Preben Ganzhorn let go, this guy was basically the face of this organization and now he has been let go after just one season, must be more to this story no? Yeah seriously... I’ve seen nothing official about it though (neither on the CPL website nor the Y9 site). If in fact it’s true that he’s leaving, and that he’s been “fired”, I’d really like to know why. SadOnMondays and ironcub14
yellowsweatygorilla
Also don't know how 'firing' works when you are one of three 'founders' - unless founders is only in name and he doesn't actually own the club?
Ozzie_the_parrot
The main money behind Y9 is clearly Carlo Baldassarra of Greenpark Homes. hamiltonfan
Kent
It was a reasonably successful season on the pitch, but not in the stands. Maybe a big portion of Ganzorn’s job was about getting butts in seats. He could have been fired for that.
Mikmacdo
Telfer won't be back apparently 😔 Y9 needs 2-3 attacking players now. CANMNT_SUPERFAN
TFC2017
I'd bring in Gabriel Boakye for sure. His family is from RichmondHill, he's been in Germany the past few years in the lower divisions.
Mikmacdo
Apparently y9 signed a winger from Jamaica named Nicholas Hamilton.

Bison44
Could it be from the secret draft?? Or might it be a sign that the Knights templar were on the island?? And what do the mysterious tree branches found near the money pit signify?? Could there be a buried treasure ship in the swamp?? Tune in for the next 5 years and we will be no closer to the truth. toontownman, The Real Marc and ironcub14 2

Why would you get attached to y9 when they came out and said they would be moving somewhere like Markham in 2-3 years. Ansem
Mikmacdo
Ingham Doner Luca Thompson abzi Porter mannella Manny Petrasso Adjei Hamilton Likely starting 11? Gattas would be nice to have or a similar player. Lots of depth in midfield. Simeon Jackson would be a nice fit up front.
