I've got no dog in this fight but is gratifying to see the cards pile up against Cavalry, who seem to get away with so much in every match.

Wheeldon's post-game interview is whinier than even the most egregious of Gale's posties this year. Take the draw and walk away, you're playing in the final.

LOL at Wheeldon and Ledgerwood to taking massive shits on a 25 year old ref on a coast to coast broadcast. CPL is designed to develop refs as well as players, and he wouldn't have had such a hard time if the coaches instilled a bit more discipline in their players. It's shameful when Jimmy Brennan of all people is the one taking the high road.

Also worth noting that the incident with the Y9 goalkeeper coach having a go at the Cavalry bench was cringe worthy, and makes the whole league look amateur.

Embarrassing. I was at the game for the first time in forever, you shouldn't concede at such a crucial point in the game when you're up 2 men.

I hate to admit it, but that Jordan Brown sub as stupid as it seemed at the time, was pure brilliance and nearly got Cavs the win.

Players and staff absolutely to blame for losing their heads, but this is the same referee who totally lost control in the table-kicking game. He's not ready for this level.

Just watched the highlights, going to take the match in later tonight but both sending offs deserved (didn't see Mavila's 1st caution of course).

We'll see.  Some ref's just don't have the same presence as others and so have a harder time encouraging the match in the right direction until its time to start throwing cards around and getting whistle happy.  In other words, too late. Some matchs the ref will never win, we've all seen them.  Anyway, its a young league and the teams are still learning the refs.  If so and so needs to start being more stern earlier then so be it, the teams will figure the ref out quickly and just like any other field condition adjust accordingly.  Or not.

Oustanding goal by Pasquatti.  York players looked tanked on that play but still, THAT was a goal to be proud of.
