CPL Best XI

We haven’t really had a good best XI talk yet.  In the Borges thread there is a question of who could move to a higher league.  Let’s break down a best XI (4-3-3)

Carducci

Grant.     Zator. Gasparoto. Langawa.

                     Adekubge.

              Bekker   Carmargo.

Borges.                               Petrasso

                     Campbell

Chung - Zator - Samuel - Langwa

Bekker - Telfer

Pasquotti - Borges - Escalante

Campbell

Telfer really isn’t a DM though- he’s a winger

Borges doesn’t play AM, he’s a straight winger as well.

I think Petrasso is the next best winger in the league besides Borges.  Look at his goal and assists plus he’s been injured.

So your team needs 2 CM types because there’s so many good wingers in the league.

Borges has played centrally before, and I couldn't leave out Pasquotti. So I opted for that.

I’m actually a Forge fan.  I’ve watched every game and when we played Calgary it was so obvious how good Adekugbe was. He was able to dominate our midfield.

Calgary was the only team that could do that in more than 1 match against us and I’ve always had the impression ever since that Adekugbe is a top CM

I think this is close. I also think that Pasquotti has been excellent, he has a high degree of presence on the pitch when he plays.

I am not sure about Chung. He's a good player, but Pacific is no a solid team defensively, and that has to be on him as well.

I saw HFX more earlier in the summer, so have not seen Langwa lately. Cannot judge Samuel either, I guess I don't watch backs that much, at least not on tv (live I do).

I was struggling at the back admittedly. Zator was a shoe-in. I am not a big Abzi fan so Langwa had to be the one. Samuel has been decent, but not sure who else to include. I do rate Chung though, he's been an unsung hero for Pacific I think.
