Well, that was a pretty ugly first half in terms of skill or enjoying the beautiful game.

But, that being said... we played like crap and still looked better than the US... so hopefully this will give us confidence in the second half when we bring on Hoilett and Cav.

absolutely masterful tactics by herdman up to now:

sending laryea and miller wide and high when we have ball at the back and bringing fraser and piette back near the cb's so they are the ones touching the ball

arfield and osorio wide on paper but playing very narrow in offensive and defensive phase..offensively it allows for high quality players to combine with quick short passes and defensively they can press quickly together when the ball is lost to get it back quickly

So far so good.  We could easily be up on them wth the better chances so far.  David and Davies definitely look like they might have goals in them tonight.  Just gotta stay smart at the other end of the pitch.  Not stupid fouls, no stupid Borjan moves, and no loss of shape.
