Why? They wouldn’t overrun the home support, but it would help generate interest and revenue.

Revenue to the stadium yes, profit to the CSA no. The profit sharing agreement the CSA has with BMO means BC place would have to sell something like twice as many(or more tickets) to match profits from BMO.

This is all so funny because it just speaks to the Toronto stereo type of being stuck in a bubble and lacking self awareness. All the reasons given for why the game won't draw a lot are actually reason why the game won't draw a lot in Toronto not anywhere else.

I can tell you that the exact same phenomenon is seen in Ottawa, so it's not just Toronto.

So please, stop projecting your reality on to the rest of the non-Toronto country.  It's annoying and lets just get on with it.

Back to the game....

Based on Herdman's interview we will be setting up fairly defensive with the objection not to concede and our stacked talent hopefully bag some goals. Also, if we do grab an early lead, strong defensive shape should help us hold the lead, unlike what happened vs Haiti.

As much as I want to see us attack like crazy, I see his point, let's hope he gets it right.

I'm wondering, if it's something like Mexico would it be a type of 3-4-3? Which is still fine to attack but can also transition nicely to 5 at the back on defense.

If he does I think he would go Miller, Vitoria, Cornelius in a back 3? Maybe Davies as LM/LWB and Kaye or Lareya as the RM/RWB. Kaye has played RM all year so would be up to the task but Lareya positionally might be better suited.

Interesting discussion none the less, I thought for sure it would be some type of 4-3-3 hybrid. However we did hold Mexico scoreless for 40 mins until we were down to 10 men (Cornelius was being treated for a bloody nose on the sidelines).

Man so pumped for this game.

Well, we finally get to see Herdman's "A" lineup that we were promised in the Gold Cup, no excuses.

So if we could take the Mexico strategy and include our best XI that seems to be where we're headed here.  And we looked pretty good in that match once we brought on some weapons.

has anyone noticed the lack of CSA coverage from camp the last few days? They keep posting videos from Monday and Tuesday training, but nothing much from Wednesday and Thursday. Maybe it's just me not getting my fix because its only a one game window!

Truthfully what is Canada’s A squad? Like who is in the starting 11?

I like this too.

----Hoilett / Cavallini / David
Davies / Piette / Arfield / Kaye
-----Miller / Vitoria / Cornelius

Perhaps with Laryea as the right wingback, and put in Kaye for Piette?

Defensive focus, make the front 3 chase down the long balls (with a few timely runs from Davies as well), they have enough skill and talent to bag a few, while the rest bunker down.

I'd love to bring the game to them with our traditional 4-3-3, but there is just too much at stake right now.  I believe this gives us our best shot at a result.

Sure, sounds great.  Glad you can make it.

Just buy the extras from the site, I'll be emailing them out this weekend.

We have another player joining us for tomorrow at Rec Room.  Not sure it was announced yet.....

Pretty sure it's Arfield.

It says a "guest", not a player.  So I'm thinking it's De Rosario or Stalteri or another former NT player.

I wouldn't be surprised with De Rosario since he is so involved with soccer in this community still.

Duane Rollins is reporting that One Soccer offered this game to TSN and Sportsnet, neither were interested.

So next time someone whines about One Soccer I will tell them to shut the **** up.

Could TSN not just pickup the One Soccer Stream and not even send a broadcast crew? Did OneSoccer ask too much? Did they offer them the feed for free but the two networks turned it down?

I don't know the full details.

But the broadcast crew will likely be Dunfield and Wheeler, who are also sort of TSN guys.

My guess is they don't want to help One Soccer grow.

This is something that fans need to understand, unfortunately our team is not nearly as marketable as we think it is.

It is for everyone on here!  Unfortunately we are just a small portion of this country.

Looks like a couple hundred tickets moved over night, bulk purchases in 225 and 110. Way too many moved to be singles, I'm thinking the CSA is giving them to partners and Youth Soccer Clubs at a discounted rate.

Last night I stumbled upon a Nations League A review show and the moment I tuned in was the moment the panel was doing an analysis of the Cuba matches and teeing up the USA match next week

I cannot overrstate how happy, thankful and appreciative I am to just stumble upon such a thing. One Soccer is basically Canadian soccer porn...

After the review show was over, I then was able to find the Puebla-Toluca replay and fast forward to the second half to watch Cavallini. That's right, I was able to watch a Canadian NT player's club match on replay.

This is truly a golden era! If you are not subscribed to One Soccer you are missing out.

TSN and Sportsnet probably too busy masturbating over the new hockey season just starting.

Canada Soccer truly is a cult - like the Gathering of the Juggalos.  We need that exclusive content.

I think its just politics. Demand doesn't have much to with it. TSN wants to keep streaming services at arms length
