Cheeta
A bit of a physical affair so far. As in late '70s Britball physical. Well, maybe not that bad but so far a march that is definately a stranger to the "modern" game.
Cheeta
Does anyone know if this is the Jamaican 1st team? Because if it is I want to play Jamaica. Badly. narduch and johnyb 1

SirBobsaget
So far 15 mins in, Suriname is controlling the game. Either Suriname is finally developing some chemistry or Costa Rica has dropped down a few pegs in quality.
Gian-Luca
Neither team has looked particularly potent 33 minutes in

JohnnyFranchise
Suriname pulling off the upset would have been the best possible result for us because there would've been everything to play for in their third game. But oh well.

Acid-Tone
Waston getting his second yellow for coming on the field without permission from the ref (and therefor missing the first place showdown game with Jamaica) is so CONCCACAF! Addona

Frankly I don’t think we need to worry about when we face Mexico if it is the semis or the final, let’s focus on getting past the QF first This is it. We can't play our game vs the US trying to predict or assume what happens in Mexico v El Salvador. Mexico plays after us, It's safe to assume they'd rather play us than USA. There is no point in going all in like we need to win our group. Herdman also knows this, we're into the QF, that's what mattered, the rest from here on out is out of our control. I bet we see a good rotation vs USA, including Sturing and Ayo. Edited July 17, 2021 by costarg Addona

Herdman already said they’re treating the USA game like a derby, and it’s not very common to start your bench squad in a derby game.
narduch
The Quarter final match is exactly 1 week after the USA game. So you can rest players during that week off basically. toontownman

That can affect a guy like Vitoria. narduch and Addona

But then the question is whether or not he is the best one to take the field against the US on gameday - not whether or not he gets rested as a “starter” just to give him a day off. Subtle but important difference.

CanadianSoccerFan
Qatar striker clatters the keeper while handling the ball Maradona-style and scores. Goes to VAR and it still stands.
