Well we only rested two, Arfield and Morelos, for Steven Davis and Jermain Defoe, just as scary for opposition.

The fact this true about Jermain (who I remember making his debut while Jean Chretien was Prime Minister) I think helps my point about leagues.

But it was really just an excuse to half joke/half moan (very English)

Maybe more Europa League rotation shenanigans

David on the bench for KAA Gent in the league.

A couple strikers he has started with before are not even on the bench.

This is definitely it. Have to keep fresh if they want to stay in Europe

Gent losing - David on at the 67'.  10 minutes to go 2-1 against.

VAR just struck off an equalizer.

Edit:

I only watched after he came on but sounds like he made some difference.   David with some good work coming deep and driving the ball through the midfield but too little too late.

Score remains 2-1 at final whistle.

Red Star 1-1 (2-2) against Copenhagen in extra time, been down to ten men since the 54'.  Goal absolutely under siege and Borjan has come up big a number of times.

Proper scenes ( as they would say here)

Got penalties, garbage pitch, handful of saves by Borjan, but his guys kept kicking the mud and skying theirs (a couple  in a row, at least ).  Both teams got on track, but finally the Danes break first and Borjan saves the final attempt.

Borjan scores during the penalty shootout as Red Star moves on  7-6. Borjan stops 2 of the 5 missed Copenhagen penalties in the process
