They got that all important road goal!!!

Yeah, was worried there for a bit, but that should see them through.

Edit: And they go through.  Up against The New Saints (WAL)  or (almost certainly) København (DEN) next round.

Aramis Kouzine did not make the 18 as SC Dnipro made a victorious Ukrainian Premier League debut in a 2-0 victory over Olimpik Donetsk. Highly-touted Buletsa and Supriaha, fresh off Urkraine's FIFA U20 WC victory, scored for SC Dnipro.

David starting in Europa League qualifying. His KAA Gent come into this second leg 6-3 up on Viitorul from Romania.

Edit: Under the cosh and a really bad penalty decision against but came through 7-5 and will face AEK Larnaca (CYP) (most likely) / Levski Sofia (BUL) in the 3rd round.  David continues to play most of the game just behind a front two.

Cavallini got a red in Puebla’s game against Guadalajara

After he scored a goal on a great finish which was called back because of VAR looking back at a play in the midfield where he was then given the red.

I'm sure there will be highlights soon. The game just ended

Absolute madness.  VAR allows refs to be even more corrupt than before as they can arbitrarily pull a stunt like this.

This ref should lose his job.  To give a red it needs to be clear and obvious.. there is no way watching that replay that is a clear and obvious red.  He didn’t look at the player, he naturally had to put his leg down like that or he would fall and/or not be able to accelerate.  It wasn’t reckless and it only incidentally endangered the player.. just a freak play.

Is it still a foul? Debatable but if it wasn’t called during the run of play it shouldn’t be brought back.  If you round the keeper and step on his hand in doing so is it no goal?  Genuinely interested to know peoples thoughts on fouling a player while you’re in possession.  If someone slides in early on you and you step on them is it a foul?  Can’t see how that would make sense..

Definitely not a red.  Ffs you get a yellow for a high boot to the head 99/100 times.. how the hell can you get a red in possession.

Not even a foul for me.  Two players coming together and Cavallini has control of the ball.

Hoillet remained on the bench today as Cardiff drop their English Championship season opener 3-2 to Wigan Athletic.

Second half underway in the German Super Cup between Bayern and Dortmund. 0-0 thus far with Davies on the bench.

Bayern lose 2-0.

Didn't see the match, but according to goal he was given a player rating of 6.2 today. For comparison, Coman was 7.7, Lewandowski was a 6.6, Goretzka 5.3 and Muller, whom he replaced, was a 5.4

To be honest it’s not really a good comparison considering they had started the match. I watched him play for most of his time on the pitch and he player relatively well
