LEAGUE WEBSITE:

To start this thread off, these are apparently the attendance numbers from 2018/19:

Average 1,010 per match.

Will be interesting to see whether England's run to the World Cup semis will help to boost this number.

For me, the big question regarding any women's soccer league, such as the one that you have brought up, has always been: How many women would actually buy a ticket to watch a women's match? Now as we all know, the CWNT, like many other national teams, manage to draw large numbers of women spectators to their matches, however, are there enough women that are passionate enough to buy season tickets to watch a women's club?

It would be interesting to learn how many women make up that 1,010 match average? I remember when I was a young lad, many years ago, the games that I went to, the crowd would typically look like this:

As usual, wikipedia is the best resource:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/FA_Women's_Super_League

The number of teams has just been increased from 11 to 12 for the 2019/20 season.

List of foreign players in FA WSL, which of course includes Canadians:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_foreign_FA_Women's_Super_League_players

Janine Beckie (Man City)

Adriana Leon (West Ham)

That appears to be it, for now.
