red card Posted September 25 Share Posted September 25 (edited) When TSN carried the last 2 rounds of Voyageurs Cup, they weren't paying Canada Soccer for the rights. Even with only showing MLS teams, Canada Soccer could only get deals renewed on year-by-year basis. This could be the Garber syndrome of only being interested in promoting MLS properties. It could be also not fully grasping the concept of open and parallel competition. But you can say it was justifiable for TSN/SN as average audience numbers were quite below the minimum acceptable 100k level. Highest was in 2017 when TFC MLS tv numbers were also peaking. 6 match average was 139k. It dropped to 57k average in 2018. Second highest was 91k average in 2015. Lowest was 30k average in 2010.
