Looks like Robin Fraser will be named head coach of Colorado..has head coaching experience with Chivas USA and a good record in teams where he was an assistant..but Conor Casey has done very well as interim bringing them 7 wins

Last two playoff spots to be determined on the final matchday are in the west between portland dallas san jose..dallas at home vs skc and portland hosting san jose..first tiebreaker is number of wins so san jose would get in with a draw and a dallas loss..boy would luchi out chants get loud if dallas doesnt get in

I find it boring though.

When the Western teams come visit TFC there is very little familiarity.

It will only get worse.

It is a formula that has worked for North American Sports. In European countries there are less cities able to support a competitive team than what is available in North America. The drop-off in potential revenue between 1-30 in North America should be significantly less than the drop-off in potential revenue between 1-20 in England.

If soccer is as healthy in the US as it appears to be with teams popping up everywhere and hotspots like CINCY and Atlanta you would think TV ratings would at least stay level.  Reportedly 90mil a season for the current tv deal, split 24 ways....just under 4mil a season.  That deal is up in a few years...

FWIW NHL ratings are on the rise and their current deal of $200 million a year is expected to jump up to around $350-400 M a year.

Just interesting because a lot of MLS fans like to pretend they're close to surpassing the NHL and entering themselves into the conversation as a "Top NA league".  Well, the reality is a lot different and the NHL will now be entering one of the top 5 MLS markets.  Also, the fact is that "big teams" like Seattle and Toronto can't even sell out their playoff games.. it's frankly embarrassing.
