Theres Canadians in other teams and interesting to talk about other teams

---------------------------------------------------------

Matchday 1

Boy does Minnesota look good except defending set plays..seems they got the pieces they needed and now solid in every position..seemingly strong gk, good cb in Opara letting Calvo move to LB and was very good there..a very good RB in Metanire, 2 DM Gregus and Alonso and the same strong AM's and CF's

Chicago being Chicago..up 1-0 in the 2nd half and lose 1-2 to Galaxy..Alvarez the 16 year old comes in to assist the equalizer and of course Ibrahimovic with the winner..but Chicago looked good in periods..hard to see Edwards being in the plans in the near future

1st game of the weekend 2 teams that have to really step up this year Chicago vs Orlando

3 Canadians starting for Orlando and Edwards to Lansing seems almost done

Looks like Orlando going with a back 3 with Nani and Akindele up front and Chicago almost the same 11 as last week just Nikolic coming in for Frankowski

Lansing may be getting more attacking help in the very near future. It is heavily rumored that the Chicago Fire's Raheem Edwards is coming in on loan from the MLS side, and he was on the sideline Friday afternoon, but not dressed.

Of course Chicago gives a cheap goal and then gets a red..but Sapong to the rescue with a last second header..still they look hopeless..schweinsteiger was absolutely awful missing simple 5 yard passes..last 10 minutes they sent him to the back and their attacks got much better

Orlando looks not bad..akindele played around 20 min subbed out with injury..johnson solid as usual..miller mediocre too slow and predictable on the ball and beaten a couple times in dangerous places but has plenty of time to improve

Columbus 2 New England 0

Porter gets 4 points in his first 2 games

Revs still underperforming and Friedel still looks as clueless..Buchanan in at the end..a few good moves but no finish and way too weak physically

San jose still the hopeless team in the west..2 home games 2 losses 5 goals conceded..wondolowski would be a backup almost everywhere else in the league but a dp with the quakes..at least their keeper is much better than last years nightmare tarbell

Been a brutal two weeks thus far in Champions League for MLS teams, six losses in a row. We'll see if KC at least can reverse that trend tonight (Atlanta isn't exactly flying out of the gate this year, with 1 win in five games at home to a Costa Rican team).

Makes you appreciate  how good TFC was in 2017 and in early 2018 when their focus was on the CCL - unless Atlanta wins 4-0 tonight against, it's further proof that the TFC squad of 2017 & into the CCL of 2018 was the best MLS team to date. A shame that this year's edition came with TFC's squad in the midst of considerable turnover with most of their major offensive stars, but at the same time the decision to play some of the 3rd stringers in Panama ahead of the 2nd stringers and with an unfamiliar formation still suggest to me that they didn't take the first leg as seriously as they should have.

48th minute Schweinsteiger gets beaten easily and Marcelo fouls Rodriguez in the box..penalty hits crossbar and goal on rebound..can it get any worse..you make a sub and tactical change at the break then concede right away
