Grizzly Posted February 18, 2019 Share Posted February 18, 2019 Like in many leagues with a couple of large dominant teams, the small teams survive financially and remain semi-competitive with them by selling out their stadiums when those teams are playing there. Also it makes sense to sell them tickets above the mandated allotment for security concerns. The away fans are going to come anyway and if you refuse to sell them tickets they will take off their scarves and buy tickets in the home fans section which can create problems. Better just to expand their ticket allotment and sections and keep the away fans all together. Limiting an away teams allotment is only possible when your own fan base is going to buy all the tickets. The small size of the fan bases of many teams in Scotland and elsewhere makes that impossible so better to just deal with the reality of the situation and sell the seats to the away team fans. Yes it ruins home team advantage but less than if you did not sell the tickets and as a result were not able to have any good players on the pitch capable of at least being competitive with the big team. I would sure be fun to have Hume in CPL a season, I'd pay to see him play. I only saw him once I think, for Tranmere, maybe that was 15 years ago or more. Draw (tie) This was just enough for Puebla to qualify as last on the best second places in the group stages, and now play top team Morelia in a one-match round-of-16 for the Cup , the match in Morelia on February 26. I went to a Liga match in Puebla about 3 weeks ago, and the stadium was practically deserted, it is the big clubs in Mx City, Guadalajara, and Tijuana, as well as tv revenues (especially for us-mexican audience), that brings in crowds and the other money. The whole football schedules for professional clubs are really byzantine in Mexico.
