DJT
Guidelines for this thread In this thread post match updates on all Canadians abroad for January 11-17, 2019. If you find updates posted in some other thread then post them here as well, but be sure to credit the original poster. If there is news that is particularly significant (eg. someone scores a big goal, someone gets injured, etc.) then feel free to begin a new thread on that topic in order to draw greater attention or start a discussion, but also post that news here. Keegan
I'm not sure that's even an own goal.. should that not be his? Deflected off him and 2 defenders failed to clear it from going in.. it's not like anyone changes the direction. BTW, did anyone else hear the Benny Hill theme song in their head when watching that goal? MtlMario, johnyb and ray 1

All the MotD commentators (Shearer, Murphy, and Jenas) were raving about Tomori's performance last night. I thought he did okay, but was roasted for both of Southampton's goals. First one, he moved out into midfield, nearly to the sideline, and got nutmegged. He then jogged slowly back to his position while a scramble in the six-yard box ensued, leading to the goal. On the second one, he pushed the defensive line up high but failed to clock onto striker running through. He almost made up the yards with a decent burst of pace, but couldn't prevent the shot going in. He did make a lot of blocks and clearances, though. Wishing him success but hoping his standards aren't at the England National team level. Until after we can bring him back!
