But the idea is still that the sponsor (Nike) is getting advertising from the entity they are sponsoring (Canada Soccer). A kit sponsor gets support from a team by being on everything to do with the team and being on every bit of apparel worn by teams and their fans. I get what you’re saying but your examples are off - we aren’t the Nike Canadian Men’s National Team. We are the CMNT and our apparel sponsor is Nike. I think it’s great to be tied to the biggest name in sport but it would be nice to balance that with some results of what they’re doing for us. We don’t need a January camp we are Canada with our past history of great success at the youth national and senior national men’s team why would Canada need a January camp. Now the US with their history of failures at both the youth a senior men’s national team level they need a January camp with a few games included, but Canada no , why would this great men’s soccer nation need a January camp ?
