With the Women's World Cup draw now completed and just six months to go before the opening kick-off in France, let the speculation begin. Will Christine Sinclair hoist the World Champions on July 7, 2019? To what length will the CSA go to ensure the best possible preparation for the Canadian Women's National; Team? Is the CSA willing to go all in on this one?

In contrast, the CSA's website has the following:

Canada to face Cameroon, New Zealand and Netherlands in Group E of FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019™

Posted on 8 December 2018 in Women's National Team / Olympic Team

20181208_FIFAWWC_www.jpg

Canada will face Cameroon, New Zealand and Netherlands in the group stage of the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019™. Canada are handing off the competition to France having hosted the most recent edition in six Canadian cities from coast to coast in 2015 when a record 1.35 million fans attended the competition.

“FIFA Women's World Cup Canada 2015™ marked a watershed moment for the sport in our country with record setting attendance and global viewership figures,” said Canada Soccer General Secretary Peter Montopoli, who was the CEO of the National Organizing Committee for the FIFA Women’s World Cup™ Canada 2015. “Four years later, we look to build on our historic performances on the field and pass the hosting baton to the France organizing committee.”

Seeded in Pot A, Canada Soccer’s Women’s National team were drawn into Group E at the Official Draw held on 8 December 2018 in Paris, France. Canada have most recently been ranked fifth in the FIFA Women’s World Rankings and finished second at the 2018 Concacaf Women's Championship in October.

Canada’s campaign will begin on Monday 10 June when they face Cameroon at Stade de la Mosson in Montpellier, France. Canada will then travel to Grenoble for their second group match on Saturday 15 June against New Zealand at Stade des alpes. Canada then conclude the group phase in Reims on Thursday 20 June with a match against Netherlands at Stade August-Velaune.

“We are excited and really looking forward to the tournament, especially now that we know who we will face in the group stage,” said Kenneth Heiner-Møller, Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team Head Coach.  “There are quite a few nations here that could win it and Canada are certainly one of them. We are confident and have shown that we can beat the best on the world stage, so we are now focusing primarily on pushing and challenging ourselves throughout the first half of 2019, then fine tuning in preparation for the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019™ next summer.”

The KNVB's website reports the following:

Speelschema

Datum Tijd Stadion Thuis Uit
Dinsdag 11 juni 15:00 Stade Océane, Le Havre Nieuw-Zeeland Nederland
Zaterdag 15 juni 18:00 Stade du Heinaut, Valenciennes Nederland Kameroen
Donderdag 20 juni 18:00 Stade Auguste Delaune, Reims Nederland Canada

Canada

What will be very indicative as to how competitive the CWNT will fare in France, depends in large part on how many international matches the CSA will arrange between now and June 10, 2019, when Canada plays its opening match against Cameroon.

In today's highly competitive women's game, I  predict that unless the CSA makes arrangements for at least 6 international matches (an average of one match per month) during this period, that the national team will not progress to the quarter-final stage.of the 2019 World Cup.

As Neil Davidson reported, Canada is planning to use every international break until the WWC - https://nationalpost.com/pmn/sports-pmn/canada-to-learn-womens-world-cup-first-round-foes-at-saturdays-draw-in-paris
"There are four FIFA international breaks before the tournament and Heiner-Moller plans to use all of them, including a return to the Algarve Cup in Portugal."

The Algarve Cup is four games, and if they use the other three breaks that'd be a minimum of seven games, a maximum of ten. It's hard to know if they'll manage to schedule two friendlies for all three of the breaks, especially the one in January, given that it is in less than a month, but they do tend to schedule to play the same team a second time in a closed door friendly if they can only manage the one.

Where did you get they removed him? Last I saw he was prepared to leave Canada to coach a men's team but stayed because the CSA offered him the men's team. From everything I read he no longer wanted to Coach women's teams.

The latest news on the Algarve Cup website is as follows:

https://www.womenssoccerunited.com/algarve-cup-2019-competing-teams/

Algarve Cup 2019 competing teams

Information about the 2019 Algarve Cup competing teams will be added here when available.

The Algarve Cup is one of the most popular international tournaments in the women’s football calendar and we are awaiting official confirmation as to who will be competing at the 2019 edition.

Both Denmark and Switzerland have indicated that they will compete at the 2019 Algarve Cup alongside the hosts, Portugal.

We can safely rule out USA, England, Japan and Brazil who revealed that they would be participating at the 2019 SheBelieves Cup which runs along the same dates.

At the same time, this announcement has sparked rumours that Germany and France, who have competed at the SheBelieves Cup since its launch, could be making a return to the prestigious Portuguese competition.

This page will be updated with information about the teams who will compete at the 2019 Algarve Cup, teams currently listed below and ones who are later added will have the status (confirmed) or (unconfirmed) depending the release of an official team announcement.

With the 2019 SheBelieves Cup reporting the following, isn't it high time that the CSA made some announcements regardiong international dates?

https://www.ussoccer.com/womens-national-team/tournaments/2019-shebelieves-cup#tab-1

The 2019 SheBelieves Cup will be the fourth edition of the SheBelieves Cup, an invitational women's football tournament held in the United States. Featuring national teams from Brazil, England, Japan, and hosts United States, it will begin on Feburay 27 and end on March 5, 2019.[1]
