Blackdude
I don't know about this. Silva is retweeting Olimpia stuff. I don't know what's going on, but clearly Silva wants something whether it's a pay raise or wanting out, but he clearly wants something.

I still would be surprised if he transferred to a Paraguyan club but while he did improve over the course of the season even in late season form I think he was overpaid at 800k. I was looking forward to seeing how he would do with Urruti but if we get a decent transfer fee I would not be adverse to him going and freeing up a lot of salary. Blackdude
So looks like all they need is the OK from MLS to confirm Silva's transfer.
Moldy9
Happy New Year to all Montreal Impact supporters around the world. I took the time to make a special video on the re-signing of Bacary Sagna. Have a look and enjoy!

MM3/MM2/MM
From MLS website: "There also has been rumors that Alessandrini, a French winger coming off two strong seasons, could be dealt to the Montreal Impact."

Grizzly
Silva being treated like a star player on arrival in Paraguay. I was skeptical about this because it seems like a strange career trajectory, Argentina, MLS, Paraguay but maybe they are paying him a lot or he really loves living in Paraguay. I think for 800k salary we can do better than Silva so if we got a 4 million transfer fee that is well worth it. http://www.tigosports.com.py/futbol/olimpia-llegada-de-alejandro-silva
Moldy9
I don’t feel he’s such a big loss. In fact I kind of expected more from him. When I went to see them play in Seattle I had the chance to meet him and speak with him. It was his first game. At the time (April) he didn’t look too enthused to be there, just the body language I was seeing looked like he was dissatisfied. Again this sentiment might have changed during the season but him leaving didn’t come as a surprise.
Soccerpro
Interested to see if the impact show some common sense in their offseason signings this year. How about no one over 30, make that at least no one over 35 brought in this year? Every year they do things that don't make sense.
Moldy9
I’m happy they at least made a splash getting Urruti, resigning Sagna and making some coin on Silva but they still have some work to do I find. Last winter was horrible. They totally shat the bed and had to sign C team quality to fill the roster. I really hope they got their stuff in order and trying to make some deals. Grizzly
Very worrying interview with Remi Garde in French. It seems like all the big moves have been done, the team is pretty much set, Fanni (our only good CB) will not be back, the Silva money was spent giving Bush and Lovitz raises and for Urutti's salary and we will have the third shitty offseason of bad signings in a row and be out of the playoff picture by July (the last part is my opinion not Garde's :-) ) If there are not going to be any major moves before the season starts it makes me want to ask for a refund on my season tickets and just not watch the season. It is one thing to have a bad season because of bad luck, injuries or some signings that were promising but did not work out but this team is run so incompetently it is hard not to be completely frustrated. I think the Urutti move was good but risky because of his salary but our defence seems very weak outside of Sagna (who was signed over Fanni because we have more CBs under contract). I can not understand why we picked up the option on the underperforming and overpaid Cabrera.https://www.tvasports.ca/2019/01/11/remi-garde-satisfait-de-lentre-saison-de-limpact

Chad_Impact
Both of Saputo's clubs, Bologna and the Impact, are in complete shambles at the moment, and he's the common denominator. He is out of his depth.
Blackdude
Surprised about Sirois mainly because the Impact has already 4 goalkeepers under contract.

They must really believe in him. I hope they are right. https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2019/01/17/montreal-impact-ink-maxi-urruti-extension-through-2021-using-tam
