The US are running rampant over T&T. They may not have looked great last game but they are dominant tonight.

It's more T&T that looks absolutely horrible. They should have brought their B team like last time...at least they knew how to defend...

I think they just ran out of gas. Didn't sit back and defended the US to a man. Eventually the talent trumps work rate if you can't get on the board. They had the chances in the first half.

If Pulisic plays like he did in the second they are the second best team in the competition. If not, they are very beatable. Soft in midfield.

Judging by how awful Trinidad were against Panama I'm not surprised.  7th consecutive match without a goal.

As for the tournament, not a good look when only Group B has anything realistically on the line on matchday 3.

You must mean Group C? Group B is just for 1st place and not much of a match up. C at least has 3 teams in it.

Group B and D and has first place on the line in both groups....I think Haiti plays the Ticos closer than people think...

First time expanding to 16 teams so some of the groups may be a little lopsided early.....but in the long run those countries will be helped by advancing to this tournament

Regardless of what the critics say, it sure sounds like the players are buying into the sizzle. And that matters.

Some people on this board questioned Herdman's sizzle. Maybe they were clueless because they haven't followed closely what he has done with the women's team and how he has a high standing in Canadian corporate circles as a motivational guru.

Herdman has the qualities of a visionary corporate CEO who finally instills a firm wide culture in what was previously a rudderless operation with high turnover, low commitment and inability to attract/spot high quality talent. And if he stays long enough, it is designed to stay after he leaves.

People were pissed at Cav and criticized him like crazy cause he said the CMNT players from 2014 WCQ campaign lacked passion, desire and culture.

Cav was playing in Uruguay at the time and even Antoine Grieezmann said the passion Uruguayans have is one of most passionate footy cultures in the world.

OZ and a few other factors behind the scenes got him back on board, and Cav has been 100% committed since the "culture shift".

Anyone who hasn't seen the identity/culture shift is blind, sure of course it helps having better players, but there are tons of top nations with great players who fail without the proper mindset, identity, culture.

Couldn't be happier with the direction, although still very early stages, this is not an overnight project by any means.

End rant.
