Grandbloke
Mathieu Choinière is probably the Impact's best homegrown signing since Tabla. I think we'll see him get playing time this season. Chad_Impact
I've heard a lot of good things about him, hopefully he makes the most of it. Grandbloke
Blackdude
It will be interesting where he fits with Shome, Krolicki and co. I wouldn't be surprised to see him play tomorrow especially with Edwards gone. Addona and Grandbloke
Shakmur
Great news. This kid has a tremendous upside.Touted a lot for his vision. I wouldnt be surprised if we see him during this Canadian Championship. David played in last years edition and scored against Vancouver.

soccer.shocker
Did not see the match but did see he got on for 20+ min last night vs Atlanta. Can anyone comment on how he looked?

Didn’t get very many touches, but looked quite confident. soccer.shocker
Grandbloke
In tonight’s match against DC United, Mathieu Choinière was subbed on just past the halfway point in the second half. A few minutes later, he dribbled around a defender at the edge of the DC penalty area and passed to an open Maxi Urruti, who knocked the ball into the net. Then in added-on time, Choinière picked up a loose ball outside the DC penalty area, and on the half volley unleashed an amazing strike that the keeper was powerless to stop. Rémi Garde is going to have to find room for this guy in the Montréal starting 11. toontownman, BenFisk'sBiggestFan, Grizzly and 6 others

Yeah, I guess I didn’t phrase that too well. But what a strike!

Grizzly
The Impact didn't acquire many established players in the offseason that would indicate an improved team. We really need to hope some of the younger players come through if we are to have a good season. At least Choiniere is showing signs that he may do so! Keegan
Remi Garde had "chills" watching that one. What a way to end preseason for the kid - would really be something to see another local kid lock down a spot in the XI. BenFisk'sBiggestFan
It’s going to be hard to keep Mathieu off the pitch this year I think. Could be the dynamic midfielder that Montreal has been missing in the middle for so long. Grandbloke and Obinna
SthMelbRed
It'd be fantastic to see young Canadians getting solid minutes in all 3 MLS teams...Cornelius, Fraser, and Choiniere to carry the Maple Leaf high for us in 2019? Yeah lets not get carried away yet, but ten years in the making, the Canadian contingent has been steadily increasing. Yes, some decent minutes, for the time being probably mainly as a sub. Garde can sub in Choinière to replace Azira or even Taïder in midfield when a more attacking player is needed. Blackdude
He played in 3 of the last 4 matches last year as a sub and it's not like Garde makes a sub because he feels like it. I expect him to play around 500 minutes this year
