He had the post covered on a dangerous free kick that just went wide. Romeo is a bit of a horror show. Very poor judgment, clumsy in tackles, ball watching and slow to turn. He does pass well from the back but that's about it. Michael Baldisimo is excellent. Passes the ball with vision and accuracy. Reminds me a lot of Teibert. Overall, disappointing half from Canada with many players struggling to beat their man or win 50-50 balls. Guadeloupe have moved the ball around well and their movement off the ball in critical areas has been good, at times they have had many options going forward with players open in Canada’s defensive third. Canada has easily been beaten a few times with Guadeloupe’s one time passing and their movement off the ball, unless Canada improves in the second half , this powerhouse soccer country that is Guadeloupe does not only have the chance to tie it up but win this game . But really who cares in the end , it’s the U20 World Cup a meaningless tournament that no dominant soccer country like Canada really should care about anyways , Canada has bigger fish to fry! Thus, the reason why a soccer country like Canada so steeped in soccer glory can leave important eligible players off this roster ! It appears we are improving as a nation overall but by not bringing our best age appropriate players we are now battling this tiny island tooth and nail to get a result. Very disappointed that the hierarchy either felt the u20 wasn’t important enough or they felt we were strong enough without them.
