Looking to give my daughter a soccer book for Christmas or her birthday early next year. She's read most of the 'kids' books from the library as well as some adult ones (Messi). So, looking for recommendations, or a list of your favourite soccer books.

Cheers

Zlatan's biography is actually really good. Assuming your daughter is too young to be interested in something like Das Reboot or Inverting the Pyramid.

I asked for  Under the Lights and In the Dark: Untold Stories of Women’s Soccer  for Christmas.  I have heard really good things about it.

Here is the Amazon link but I'm sure it's at Chapters too:

I don't know how old your daughter is but I recently read Howard Webb's amazing autobiography, The Man in the Middle. It was eye-opening to see the game from the alternate perspective of a referee. There is some profanity so I wouldn't recommend it for a younger child. Regardless, it is a great read from both the technical aspect of the game and from the more human side of things.

Here is a link to the book on Amazon: https://www.amazon.ca/Man-Middle-Howard-Webb/dp/1471159957

You can also check out this list from the Washington Post that was posted just yesterday. (And don't get the Carli Lloyd book. We don't need to inadvertently breed any American fans!)

I read this when it came out and it's very good, lots of good stories profiled.
