Blackdude
So they announced that 5 teams will be in next year. It's been apparently 3 years they've been working on it, but never had the 5 teams they thought were needed to start. 4 teams are in the Greater Montreal region and 1 in the Québec City region. Clubs are: AS Blainville CS Monteuil (The article says Montreuil, but I know that it's Monteuil, because there is no club called Montreuil in Québec) Lakeshore Lakers FC Sélect Rive-Sud Dynamo de Québec http://www.brossardeclair.ca/cinq-equipes-feminines-premiere-ligue-quebec/
tc-in-bc
[ 1 ] I'm a bit eager to follow this when it happens. [ 2 ] Back in July, 2016 Jorge Sanchez ( the head coach of the Concordia Stingers) had some interesting thoughts and speculations about a women's PLSQ. From episode 67 of the Pressbox Hat Trick Podcast: 14.55 mark. JORGE SANCHEZ: I don't think the PLSQ is sufficient because all it'll be ... it'll be the Ligue Elite that we already have renamed. So you're going to take the best seven out of those fourteen teams currently playing; you're to take seven of those teams, or six , or five, depending on who wants to put in the budget -- rename the league and put those teams in there. It'll be a great PR move for the federation to say we now have a women's semi-pro league but it's going to be the same players. You're not going to attract players who are not currently playing to play summer soccer. 38:02 mark. JORGE SANCHEZ : Like I said, the PLSQ will not get better players playing. It'll just .... It's the same pool of players, you're just going to change the name of the league. https://pressboxhattrick.wordpress.com/2016/07/22/pbht67-the-no-nwsl-to-montrealvancouver-edition-ft-jorge-sanchez-harjeet-johal/
Vic
It may be the same players but it will be the best ones and boil any 14-team league down to 5 and you will double the level of play.

She's been a stalwart since we qualified for the Olympics in 2016. Great signings by Dynamo. Will check them out for sure.
tc-in-bc
[ 1 ] Dynamo de Quebec (f) got a bye in the first week and play in their first match tomorrow, but no Gabrielle Carle who's on a European tour with her colllege -- Florida State University ( Seminoles ) -- until May 14. http://seminoles.com/seminole-soccer-embarks-on-2018-european-tour/ https://www.instagram.com/nolesoccer/?hl=en http://plsq.ca/ [ 2 ] Though she retired from soccer in 2017, Marie-Eve Nault has returned to playing and recently signed with Trois-Rivieres AAA in LSEQ (not PLSQ-f ) http://justesoccer.com/amateur/marie-eve-nault-embarque-dans-le-aaa-a-trois-rivieres/
