Looks like there arent too many media covering it as they do with MLS, USL, etc.. so the informations are kinda hard to find unless the CSA website...

I also took permition to create the page on Wikipedia, u can see right here, any help on it are welcome ;)

Saskatoon HUSA Alumni 1 - 0 Holy Cross

In perhaps one of the strangest coincidences in Challenge Trophy history, Steve DeLong scored the winner for HUSA against his former club, Holy Cross. DeLong is originally from Saskatchewan but attended university in St. John's where he played for Holy Cross in the summer, winning a Golden Boot and two NL Challenge Cup championships (if I recall correctly) in his time there.

No doubt one of the only players to ever play in the National Championships for two teams from different provinces.

 - Nova Scotia's and Manitoba's sides will decide who takes home the Challenge Trophy.

 - I thought the Callies would get a better position than just a last placed at their group.

 - Poor Yukon...

 - The champions of each group are coached by maybe the most famous managers of the championship: Tony Nocita (1992 CSL champion and former CanMT member) and Alan Jazic (brother of Ante Jazic).

Big accomplishment for a club that has only been to nationals twice and was formed in recent times. Well done.

My former club, Holy Cross, came in 7th. Not a bad finish, considering they had a really young squad this year and beat St. Lawrence (the other big Newfoundland club) to qualify, against the odds apparently. They had a really slow start to the year...good for them!

I mentioned it in another thread, but big up to the CSA for their coverage on social media this year. They even had an app! It's an important tournament featuring a lot of university guys and a sprinkling of ex-pros and ex-youth national teamers. Some may remember names like Tyler Rosenlund (Rochester Rhinos/TFC/VW2), Michael Nonni (FC Edmonton). Both played for the BC reps this year. I think this is one tournament the CanPL can and should scout moving forward.
