Ontario Soccer League & League 1 Ontario Duplicate leagues

These two competing leagues are the same level of competition and must decide to join together  in order to improve the overall state of Soccer in Ontario and Canada. With the Canadian Premier League on it`s  way for 2018 Launch its Vital to merge these two leagues as the feeder league to the Canadian Premier League.

Given both leagues mainly cater to the GTA or maybe 20% of the population of the country at best, I think you are overstating the importance of this slightly but think you are right that all the best teams at the elite amateur/semi pro sort of level need to be in the same league playing against each other in any of the major cities to raise standards as high as they can go. I have never understood why Toronto soccer doesn't just use promotion and relegation like other cities tend to do. The OSL and TDSL had the format in place, so maybe L1O and the CSL should just have been folded into that with better standards enforced for what you need in terms of facilities to be allowed play in the top division?
