canadianfoot
Something more light hearted. A CBC TV Drama 8part mini series about Montreal Thunder FC. Debuts 31st July. Ok I admit the title is a bit misleading in the subject line. But this would be an interesting idea for CanPL if Montreal Thunder FC played in a "Canadian League" on a CBC Drama. cheers everyone

Kent
I've seen the commercials and it looks like it's got some potential. I set up the series to record on my PVR last night. The commercial I saw for it last night seems to have said it's an MLS team. I assumed it would have been a fictional league, but anyways, looking forward to seeing it. Red Renaissance
Very cringe-worthy logo, I wish they had at least looked no further than this forum for ideas. Hate the use of that 70s/80s style soccer ball that no one uses any more, looks very cheesy and outdated. Besides that, I'm excited to see the show. But in fact if you watch the commercial again the "New Coach" was MLS First Female Coach and Something something else....in the TV series I mean. Those were the days, with the Canadian Tire "Albert, Albert!" commercial a couple of times during each episode.

I never noticed in those days that Albert had his first name on his sweater like a Portuguese footballer. "Top hockey brands"...all of which have since been bought by or put out of business by Nike. Moldy9
Watched two episodes already. That's quite the dysfunctional group of under 21s let alone soccer teams I've ever seen. Looks more like rec soccer. Perhaps this is the U21 team Ballou Tabla came from - it would explain his attitude. So far my feeling is meh. Where did the writer come up with this drivle??? Seems like a bunch of Cdn perceptions thrown together. An ex Man U player as coach? And really what's the deal w the Scottish radio commentator? They could've just hired Brian Wilde who could use the work now or Rick Moffat "Goooooooooallllll!!!"
