I doubt there's a lot of action on these Gold Cup lines, but the CAN-HON probably reflects moreso what the two teams realistically need from the match rather than the relative strength of both teams. It may swing towards a draw as the favoured result if/when Honduras is awarded 3 points for the French Guiana match.

Bertuzzi44
None of this tippy-toeing about "let's get a draw", etc. Go for the jugular. Crush them!! On current form we're probably better anyway!
Ngravs
It's a friday it's Honduras, it calls for a drinking game. Take one sip if : You hear the commentator say "The 16 year old..." A Honduran player stays down and rotates on his back at least 180 degrees Borjan quicks the ball out of play Arfield sets up Davies for a shot Cavaliini shields the ball for more then 5 seconds Figueroa trips or plows someone over and pretends to be the victim Finish your drink if : Canada scores a goal They mention "The loss" in qualifying The stretcher comes out for a Honduran player AJH gets subbed on after 75 You see @Sport Shaman on TV Feel free to add to the list for my buddies and I Cheers
Yohan
Ricketts has a horrible first touch Borjan fumbles the ball or has an adventuring in goalkeeping Magic spray gets used or Honduran gets on the stretcher but quickly recovers A Honduran dive in the box Either Vitoria or Jakovic gets beaten for pace Piette punks off a Honduran off the ball Canada gets CONCACAF'D by the red
Unnamed Trialist
Arfield starts, and Borjan: after that you can start speculating on the other 9.

I think starting Arfield is the way to go. If he picks up another card so be it. If we bring Johnson in for the knockouts at least we have a decent replacement. on the topic of Johnson, I think him and Arfield with Piette behind would be solid. I'm sure we'll see lots of this, especially if Honduras has a lead. Not sure why this sort of behaviour isn't penalized more often and more strongly. Can't CONCACAF refs wake up?? Gian-Luca
Honduras may have both starting strikers out through injury (or maybe they are trying to psych out Canada with a false sense of overconfidence): https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2017/07/13/honduras-enter-gold-cup-showdown-vs-canada-pressure-also-history

Lozano was just signed by Barcelona for the 2nd team. But this could be because they are younger and less experienced.
gardencity
I say win tomorrow and just keep winning. I think the U.S. looks very vulnerable, so I relish the idea of hearing the Fox Sports homers trying to explain how an obscure country wearing red is running rough shod over there B side....yes, there will be much emphasis on this as there was against Martinique last night. Go Canada Go.

Rotate some one of our CBs and I would like to see Osorio and Edwards put in. I am confident both will be able to contribute. Hoilett can play on the right as he swapped with Davies before Davies scored our first goal
