Not yet - no decision on that has been released so far. At the moment they are in 3rd place with 1 point and a negative goal differential of -1. I'm assuming they will get to argue/plead their case if it is going to a disciplinary committee. When you read the arguments for precedents in the Gold Cup Opponents thread, I actually think a good case could be made - it's just that I think the case should have been made & cleared up before the tourney started Lofty
Razcal 117
If they get a 3-0 win, means we need to win in order to end up 2nd right? Or if we win by enough (a lot) we can take first from CR.

Razcal 117
Ah yeah, that's right. Still want to beat them for the ranking points.
Bison44 6,321
I want the team to beat them for a hell of a lot more than ranking points. Hold them down and rub their noses in a 4-0 win. Lets keep this attitude change going, let the youngsters loose, go for the win. Forget about a draw is good enough, and then worry about that Malouda situation etc. How many times have we played it safe thinking a draw is enough and it bites us on the ass?? apbsmith, dyslexic nam, tg02 and 1 other
killgod 11
While a draw gets us a likely matchup with Jamaica in the QF, Mexico looms large in the SF. Hopefully we can stay on the US side of the bracket, I like our chances of a run to the final better there. kungfucious

Kent 5,505
Just looking at the bracket, and I'm not liking the look of Martinique on top of their group at the moment. In terms of ranking points it would be annoying to play them in the knockout rounds. I guess if we are to lose to anyone in the knockout rounds, from a ranking points point of view it would be best to lose to Martinique.

Martinique isn't going to last up there.. panama and the USA should both beat them easily BCM
Rheo 2,962
Stupid question but I'm not too familiar with the Honduran team but did they go with a lesser line up last night after learning about the illegal player?

No. They played a slightly stronger lineup than the one against CR in their first game. jonovision, Ruffian and Rheo
Ruffian 1,700
What Honduras player got their second yellow card last night? I think I saw that on twitter somewhere. Edit: looks like Ever Alvarado. I assume he is out for the third game? Edited July 12, 2017 by Ruffian jpg75

BenFisk'sBiggestFan 982
Canada got no Yellow Cards against CR. They are saving them all for the Hondurans! Hopefully Canada have been saving quite a few goals as well. I would prefer 8 goals, but I would settle for 6 or 7... MtlMario

Did you honestly just say you didn't want to face Martinique because of ranking points? I would gladly play them in the quarters if it meant a way better chance of advancing

shermanator 4,405
My main question going into Friday's game is how many Calgary V's will show up to the watch party? Sounds like turnout for the first two games wasn't great.
