Rheo
Under the Cosh blog had an interview with Paul Beirne and while most of the talk was CPL they did ask about a women's league. Bottom line was a women's league is on the table but not anytime soon. Believe that once they get CPL established they can focus on that but can't do both at once. Here's the link for whole pod https://underthecoshblog.com/2017/06/06/coshcast-paul-beirne-goes-under-the-cosh/ Wasn't sure of where to post so starting a new topic
Gopherbashi
Interesting development considering the rumours of a Vancouver NWSL team, and the Calgary Foothills entry into UWS this season. Less interesting considering how Laval and Quebec were barred from doing the same thing two years ago.
Rheo
If Vancouver goes to the NWSL I would assume it would be as an MLS type thing to get the foot in the door here in Canada in the professional ranks. The thing he really stressed was that a full Canadian League wouldn't be anytime soon.
Vic
This was probably a three-second discussion among the men involved in the men's league. There have probably been more words in this thread already than were had in the quoted reference. Barring a court case or some strong leadership on the women's side I can't see this happening for decades.
