The draw was made on 23 February.

Group A
1. Ivory Coast
2. Burkina Faso
3. Lebanon
4. Guinea

Group B
1. Congo
2. Cameroon
3. Mali
4. Niger

Group C
1. Morocco

It's a tournament for the under-20 age groups. It will take place 21-30 July in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. I imagine it'll be mostly players from Quebec, still, it may be of interest to people here.

22 July 2017    Canada     v     DR Congo
24 July 2017    France     v     Canada
26 July 2017    Canada     v     Haiti

I would have thought they would try to split up the non-African teams.

Anyway, this could be great international experience for some of the guys from the U20 team we sent to Costa Rica.  It should also be a chance for some new faces as some Europe-based players might be in pre-season.

That squad would almost (?) qualify as just being referred to as a U-21 team for that Quebec national team that Patrick Leduc was coaching. Although the coaching staff has CSA written all over it

It's a team Canada-Quebec. CSA was a partner in bringing this team.

Too bad only the top team in the group moves onto the semifinals. Canada and Congo finished tied with 6 points, but they moved on with a better goal differential. I have no idea how strong Frances team was (since it is essentially a tournament about them, I assume they would take it somewhat seriously), but we finished ahead of them
