Maybe some of this is strategic?  We can call another 3(?) players after the group stage?  Maybe Ozzie is confident we will get through and might call guys like Johnson, Tesho, Larin if and when we advance??

Six players.

If they get out of the group stage, unless there's an injury I'd prefer to see them stick with the group that's gotten them there.

I agree. Unless you're adding who is significantly better like Hutch (who obviously can't be called in) or maybe Larin then roll with the guys who got you there.

Tesho, Johnson ect are good players that are probably on merit better than the ones called in but can you really say they are significantly better?

Anyways, I'm hoping that Davies gets a match or two to get a solid 15 minutes to show what he's got. I think he's the best attacking sub on the team other than perhaps Ricketts for his exp.

Big moment for Cavallini here. Hopefully he comes out shining as bright as he did after his Olympic qualification run a few years back. I agree, it would've been nice to see Tesho, but I'm not too upset about it. He's a great engine up front but not a prolific goal scorer.
