Two COVID cases and two "close contacts" have meant that 4 players have been forced to isolate and will be unable to play on Sunday.

No news yet on if Spoony is one of them.
One of the cases is likely a keeper as St. Johnstone have signed Zdeněk Zlámal from Hearts on an emergency 7-day loan.

St. Johnstone are headed to another cup final!

I'm not sure if Spoony will be suspended for the final due to yellow card accumulation or not. He got a yellow two matches in a row. Does anybody know?

I think he’s OK... yellow card accumulation reset to zero at the start of the semi-final.

Started and played 67 minutes in a nil-nil draw today (which was all they needed).

Spoony and St. Johnstone have qualified for European football.

If they win the Scottish Cup next Saturday, it will be Europa League qualifying on August 19th.
If the lose that Scottish Cup match, it will be Europa Conference League qualifying on July 22nd (in the middle of the Gold Cup), where they could theoretically find themselves against Adekugbe's Vålerenga.

Lovely cross from the left for the opening goal.

Amazing. They've won the double! :D  A full match by Wotherspoon and the assist as mentioned.

Just voted Man of the Match...the cross to Rooney at the back post was exquisite.  Being interviewed by BBC Scotland and he is in tears.

Did the game change for the last 15 after the pk miss?

Not really...Hibs didn't really threaten but the St Johnstone defense was just solid and dealt with anything thrown their way.  But the most impressive part was the St Johnstone midfield absolutely dominated.

And as a Jambo, this victory has also been celebrated in vast swathes of Edinburgh.

Maybe the Caps should get him.

1) He has a contract until 2023:

https://www.transfermarkt.us/david-wotherspoon/profil/spieler/74861

2) St. Johnstone have never played Europa League Group Stage and now have a chance to do so:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Johnstone_F.C._in_European_football

https://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/sport/football/hibs/hibs-or-st-johnstone-may-no-longer-have-guaranteed-group-stage-football-as-uefa-shift-goalposts-3240604 (For his sake, I think Chelsea has to finish Top 4 in the Prem and Villarreal have to lose the Europa League final to Man U)

With the newly created Conference League, the Europa League will be stronger than ever. Why would he miss that opportunity?

Not related to Spoony but St Johnstone loaned a goalie from Hearts on Emergency basis. So  Zlamel gets Scottish cup medal today and Won the championship with Hearts a few weeks ago.

Bobby (zdenek) Zlamal was 3rd choice for Hearts this season and didn’t play at all for the club, from what I recall.  He did have an emergency loan at St Mirren and started a few games for them.  I don’t know if a 3rd choice keeper gets a Cup Winners winners medal.

Had read he gets the medal for sitting on the bench against St Mirren. Could be wrong though.
