Olympique_de_Marseille
Last minute drama as a (sans Arfield) Rangers side is eliminated by St. Johnstone in the ¼finals of the Scottish Cup. Wotherspoon played the first 71 minutes. Edited April 25, 2021 by Olympique_de_Marseille johnyb

Olympique_de_Marseille
Two COVID cases and two "close contacts" have meant that 4 players have been forced to isolate and will be unable to play on Sunday.https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/st-johnstone-fume-over-scottish-24055362https://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/19283433.st-johnstone-confirm-covid-outbreak-mcdiarmid-park-ahead-scottish-cup-semi-final/ No news yet on if Spoony is one of them. One of the cases is likely a keeper as St. Johnstone have signed Zdeněk Zlámal from Hearts on an emergency 7-day loan.

JamboAl
Spoony was Man of the Match. He controlled the midfield and put his foot on the ball when needed and was a good outlet towards the end of the match. St Johnstone will be in the group stages of the Europa League if they win the cup or in the European Conference if they finish 5th. TGAA_Star
Wotherspoon is another one I have my eye on especially when it comes to paying attention to the national team again since I've been out of it for a while
Olympique_de_Marseille
Started and played 67 minutes in a nil-nil draw today (which was all they needed). Spoony and St. Johnstone have qualified for European football. If they win the Scottish Cup next Saturday, it will be Europa League qualifying on August 19th. If the lose that Scottish Cup match, it will be Europa Conference League qualifying on July 22nd (in the middle of the Gold Cup), where they could theoretically find themselves against Adekugbe's Vålerenga. costarg, Trois Reds and johnyb

Not really...Hibs didn't really threaten but the St Johnstone defense was just solid and dealt with anything thrown their way. But the most impressive part was the St Johnstone midfield absolutely dominated. And as a Jambo, this victory has also been celebrated in vast swathes of Edinburgh. jordan, gator and Corazon
gator
Great to see that Wotherspoon put in another great performance in beating the Hibees, he may have more of a role to play for our national team than we expected! FTH!

Why would he miss that opportunity? Ansem
jordan
Not related to Spoony but St Johnstone loaned a goalie from Hearts on Emergency basis. So Zlamel gets Scottish cup medal today and Won the championship with Hearts a few weeks ago. Olympique_de_Marseille

Bobby (zdenek) Zlamal was 3rd choice for Hearts this season and didn’t play at all for the club, from what I recall. He did have an emergency loan at St Mirren and started a few games for them. I don’t know if a 3rd choice keeper gets a Cup Winners winners medal.

Had read he gets the medal for sitting on the bench against St Mirren. Could be wrong though.
