Of course , Kadioglu would be very tough to convince though , he’s got Dutch and Turkish options plus Canadian. But he did play in the lower league this year. C2SKI
I hope CPL clubs sign some fence sitters. Having them play in Canada could only help our odds. That's a business move with a motive that I can support. BCM

toontownman
I am sure the states will be cap tie-ing like crazy. I hope we don't lose any in the process. We will surely pick up a fence sitter or two.
Bison44
By that time we could even have some decent naturalization targets (my apologies to Hurtado, Hagglund, Lovitz etc).

Kadenge
Hosting the WC will help us more than the US with dual nationals relatively speaking. They already have a lot of top class young players in their system.... just look at their recent performances. So it's going to be very hard to break into their squad over the next 8 years. The CMNT does not have that level or depth of quality. It's improving but we have a number of young dual nationals that could be difference makers if they sign up. In four years there will be people complaining how Herdman did not cap Tabla but capped a bunch of other player who did not go on to have great careers. The same conversation will be going on then, trying to cap everyone right now so we don't miss players like Tabla.

We didn’t miss the guy he refused our callups and defected. ive said this before but these guys know what the countries are doing, you don’t accept that call without believing you’ll make the senior NT as a regular... Yoginess
If Tabla accepts a call at the next game, he's going to get some serious hate from this forum because of how it looks after refusing for years to accept a call.... until he has one good game, then all will be forgiven. Guest Tg11
Also Canada should be looking to reach out to some of the young players now and give them call ups straight away. At least in doing that you build towards the future right away.

No I am advocating for players who might actually have talent because you never know what could happen between now and 8 years from now. Better to start thinking now rather than later wouldn't you agree
