Boominbooty
Anyone heard of him? 25 year old Goalkeeper from Ottawa. He bounced around 5th div England then 3rd Div Sweden and now seems to be the starter for TPS in 2nd Div Finland. He has started their last 3 cup matches (a win, 2 draws, 1 clean sheet). At this rate of progression I figure he'll be starting for Bayern Munich in 2 years ? Junkie, BradMack, apbsmith and 1 other

Brethers8
I have, because he was at Chester a couple years back. I think I mentioned him in a big thread but could be making that up. He always looked decent with us although he barely played. Good luck to him!
nolando
I love following these Longshot Canadians playing overseas. http://sportsottawa.com/content/osu-alumni-spotlight-jon-viscosi’s-wild-ride-english-pro-soccer (From a couple years back but still a good read) Also a recent article in Finnish : https://fc.tps.fi/fi/uutiset/jonathan-viscosi-halusin-tulla-joukkueeseen-joka-taistelee-sarjansa-voitosta Mentions how well athletes are treated in US college sports, which made it quite a shock to play in the lower leagues of England and Europe. Says he trialed with TPS before signing with his last club in Sweden, so that the connection had been put into place. Only foreigner at TPS but they translate everything for him. Guy seems to be a Monsalve/ Chencinski type adventurer wit a sold attitude. Good luck to him. Vince193
If he keeps playing regularly and TPS consolidate themselves in the top flight I'd love to see him at a January camp or even at an upcoming camp. We don't have a lot of keepers playing top division football regularly. apbsmith

You're right; he has started all six matches this season after going up to the top flight with his club. apbsmith and johnyb
shamrock
I don't really rate the Finnish topflight, but our other international starter plays in D2 Norway. So Viscosi is definitely in the mix. But boy I hope Borjan doesn't get injured soon. apbsmith

Leutwiler wears the Blackburn jersey. It's a stretch to say he plays for them. xman14

You're correct but it's him, who doesn't play for Blackburn at all sans a blue moon, and Simon Thomas who's career highlight is getting a handful of games in the Norwegian top level and now is back down in the second division. shamrock
apbsmith
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the Finish league known as a "stepping stone" league for foreigners? If he puts in a good run of games, you never know, sometimes clubs get desperate for keepers during transfer windows. With him not being Finish, the club may be willing to sell him for some $? ..... might be a possibility IMO.
Big_M
In 2018 played 32 league matches in the top tier of Finland + 2 relegation playoff matches and 4 cup matches and his team was relegated to the second tier Signed with San Antonio FC of USL Championship for 2019 https://www.sanantoniofc.com/news_article/show/986121 https://www.uslchampionship.com/news_article/show/986118 nolando, johnyb, Blackjack15 and 2 others 3
WestHamCanadianinOxford
Happened to notice he is the backup keeper for IK Sirius in the Swedish top flight for their game today. Went there in January - been on the bench for most (all?) their games since they restarted in June. Played one cup game in February which they lost 0-3. nolando, Addona, johnyb and 1 other 3
