Guidelines for this thread

  • In this thread post match updates on all Canadians abroad for January 6-12, 2017.
  • If you find updates posted in some other thread then post them here as well, but be sure to credit the original poster.
  • If there is news that is particularly significant (eg. someone scores a big goal, someone gets injured, etc.) then feel free to begin a new thread on that topic in order to draw greater attention or start a discussion, but also post that news here.
  • Some comments on news posted in this thread are okay, but let's not let this thread go off into a long discussion. If the news already appears in another thread (as per the previous bullet) then post your comments in that other thread, otherwise if you want to say something significant or if it is likely to generate replies then begin a new thread.

Gasparotto starts on the bench for Falkirk against Raith. This is the third game in a row he has started on the bench. Last game he started late after an injury during warmups. Entered the game in the 80th with the score 4-1.

Ferguson the bench for Albion Rovers against Brechin city. came on in the 66th. 

Gomes starts against Edinburgh city. Another clean sheet and another win . 2-0 final

Arfield starting for Burnley vs Sunderland in FA Cup action. EDIT: Subbed off at the 60th after some kind of hamsting injury at the 58th minute. Score was nil-nil in the end. http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/38474794

Played a man down from the 4th minute. Aleman made a difference coming in. More composed on the ball, didn't look long like a few of the guys.

I read in a Dutch article it was a trial. Could also mean the journalist was just being lazy, but the fact that they let him play for 90 minutes only 2 weeks before the competition resumes, tells me they are having a serious look. 

Btw Kortrijk lost the last 6 official matches...
