He's not likely to get that opportunity at a club in England. He has one year left on his contract in the prime of his career. I can't see him taking the risk of playing out the final year, nor do I see Besiktas want to let him leave for free in 2022. This is a chance for Cyle to get a life changing amount of money. johnyb, ghostknownunknown, An Observer and 6 others 8
Norrin Radd
Cenk Tosun came out injured during Sunday's game. It's being reported as a patellar tendon rupture. He's already had surgery in Turkey and is returning to England for further evaluation. Based on a quick search it sounds like the recovery period could be up to six months. I wonder how this will impact the potential Larin for Tosun swap if it was ever in the works. johnyb

youllneverwalkalone
Not sure if this link works, but it would show Cyle with by far the most goals of any player in CONCACAF this (European) season. https://www.transfermarkt.us/spieler-statistik/wertvollstespieler/marktwertetop?land_id=0&ausrichtung=alle&spielerposition_id=alle&altersklasse=alle&jahrgang=0&kontinent_id=3&plus=1 WyattTaylor, johnyb, Club Linesman and 3 others

Larin right now is showing that he’s probably too good for the level of competition he’s in and is ready for a bigger league. Hopefully those English Premier League rumours crystallize this next transfer window.

If he goes to the Prem I see it as more likely that he doesn't play in most games. That would mean one of our regular CanMNT players would not be playing regularly. It is not like he is very young and has a much higher ceiling, he likely is at or close to his peak in performance. The only reason I'd like to see this move is for my selfish Saturday morning on the couch watching TV reasons. If OneSoccer can get Besiktas streaming rights then I'd be happy with that! We should not doubt him. cronaldo7 and johnyb
Unnamed Trialist
I think, taking the example of a solid striker in Turkey like Yilmaz who transitioned successfully, that Larin would probably do well in France. That would be the right kind of step up, not to EPL. Cue hoards of Voyageurs screaming to themselves "I am NOT going to watch another Ligue 1 team, week in, week out, no way!" Aird25
While he’s certainly improved his overall game, he’s never been particularly good outside of putting the ball in the back of the net. It took Besiktas a couple seasons to figure that out. I worry another team might not have that patience Ruffian and Obinna
