The article doesn't mention which team it is. He spent 2020 with a team in the New Zealand Football Championship (Top tier football for New Zealand), a semi-professional team in Australia, and then closed out the year with Nuneaton Borough (7th tier England). https://northerntribune.ca/canadian-premier-league-ollie-bassett/ im sure its valour

Seems logical. I wonder if Edmonton might actually be a decent fit if Zetterberg doesnt return. Edited January 15 by toontownman

An Observer 718
https://www.theglobeandmail.com/sports/soccer/article-canadian-brothers-marcello-and-matteo-polisi-eagerly-await-mls/ As these two didn't get selected (I believe), probably a good pick up for one of the CPL sides...Pacific would seem a possible beneficiary

youllneverwalkalone 1,064
Well, the CF Montreal pass was a Canadian in any sense. Don't know why you wouldn't take a kid on the board to make them feel good. Probably $$$ or the awkward phone call that they aren't coming to camp.

Aird25 1,254
What's the cutoff for the U21 rule. Would Jonas Hakinnen squeeze in being born March 21, 1999?

This year it will be players born 2000 or later, so no. The math is the same as with youth national teams, i.e. the year of the season or tournament minus the age category, so 2021 - 21 = 2000

I would have liked to see him at Pacific but I don't think we have space for him if he's not U21
