youllneverwalkalone
That would be an amazing signing. Would win th Golden Boot. Something tells me he's not headed to HFX to taste the soup like many other Quebecois, lol.

Having an opportunity to work in management in the sport you love is attractive. Canada/CPL is where such players are the most likely to get such a gig like Paul Stalteri with York9 SadOnMondays

youllneverwalkalone
I didn't. It's just been the destination of choice for Francophone players this off season. IIRC, Hart & Occean had a historic blow-up that ended his National Team career.

maccaliam
That is a seriously misleading headline. Looking around the globe for talented young players who they can help move on is smart business. It will benefit the Canadian game, and can be seen by good young players as a viable way to move up the footballing ladder.
youllneverwalkalone
Africa is still one of the cheapest markets though, and it's often where 2nd tier leagues like Belgium make their money. It's great the Commish is getting the word out and I really like the comment about "not holding players back." That will be a key difference with MLS that could help land talent. maccaliam and SadOnMondays

Ozzie_the_parrot
No Fraser Aird apparently: Although a reported move to a team called San Diego Loyal has a whiff of windup to it for reasons you would probably need to be from Scotland or Northern Ireland originally to fully understand. narduch
Well San Diego is an expansion team in USL. Would be good signing for them. They aren't an MLS affiliate but I'm sure they have aspirations for moving up.

I could’ve seen him as a veteran in Edmonton to push James but I don’t it happens now. although, a guy like that could work out well as a safety net behind oxner in Halifax. mtlsab
Look at this list of free agents in France. There is a section for pro and one for amateur:https://www.unfp.org/joueurs-libres/ I'm pretty sure a lot of them would accept an offer from CanPL a this point CANMNT_SUPERFAN, yothat2 and Ansem
