Free kick
Way too much way too fast. Its got to point where (with the current sched) we are not seeing many teams in the league. Then there is the talent dilution issue.
BringBackTheBlizzard
Don't think there's much doubt MLS will get to 32 or so eventually, because they want the sort of geographical footprint that appeals to national broadcasters in the United States, but if they are sensible they'll do it slowly over the next 20 years or so. They can always add extra imports if there's an issue with dilution, so don't think that angle is too much of a concern. This might put some pressure on the NASL in numbers terms, because they were probably expecting/hoping to have Minnesota around until 2018. SF Deltas keeps them at 12, but they now need Rayo OKC to hang around to stay at the minimum D2 sanctioning size of twelve, if they don't add another expansion team. TRM
2 Leagues of 18 teams (MLS West & East) with no interplay except for playoffs. Makes sense from a travel perspective. Home and home in your league. I think the days of needing a star to go on a travelling circus to get interest are past and both leagues have stars now. I'd be more concerned with stadiums than anything else. No more New York shoe boxes and get them out of that joke now.
