Zem
Totally forgot about this DeBellis started again for Ottawa in a 1-1 draw against Indy Eleven, looked a lot more confident in goal for the Fury and made a couple good saves. The Indy goal was completely unsaveable. Edward, Roberts, Dixon and Tissot also started. Dixon looked a bit better Sunday and was subbed off after 56 minutes for the goal scorer Stewart. Roberts and Edward were pretty good once again at CB. Tissot had probably his worst game so far for Ottawa but he was still pretty okay, Indy didn't give him much space on the left flank so he couldn't get too much done. Eustaquio was subbed on in the 80th minute and Conte and Malekos remained on the bench. Ledgerwood started and played 81 minutes for Edmonton in a 0-0 draw vs Puerto Rico FC. Shome is on international duty with the U20s. Fisk came on in the 72nd minute, Farago and Zebie remained on the bench.

Zem
Edward, Tissot and Eustaquio started for Ottawa last Friday, DeBellis, MacRae, Roberts and Malekos on the bench. Ben Fisk and Tyson Farago on the bench for the Eddies. Eustaquio played 90 and looked good for the Fury, picking up a yellow in the 23rd minute. Edward played 89 for Ottawa, but produced few real chances back out on the right flank. Tissot scored his first goal for the club in his 10th appearance to put Ottawa up 2-0; apparently the new hair is working. Roberts came on in the 66th minute. Fisk came on for Edmonton in the 61st minute. Drew Beckie started on the bench for Carolina and came on as a midfield substitute in the 67th minute in a 1-0 win over Jacksonville. Mason Trafford started at CB for Miami and played 90 minutes in a 3-0 romp over Puerto Rico FC. Nana Attakora played 90 minutes for Fort Lauderdale in a 0-0 draw against the Cosmos. Received a yellow card in the 67th minute. Daniel Fernandes started for Rayo in a 1-0 loss to Minnesota United. He had several great saves, but was beaten by Christian Ramirez who was given too much space after a Lance Laing cross was headed back to the middle of the box and he roofed the it, no chance for Fernandes. Roberts came on in the 80th minute, and Haworth came on in the 82nd. 0-0 draw. Eustaquio had another pretty solid performance, his passing and composure on the ball has improved immeasurably since a couple of years ago, but he still has some areas to work on. Very actve on the ball this game though, he had 58 touches and made 42 passes with 89% completion, misplaced five of them. Edward definitely didn't feel nearly as impactful this game as he has ealier in the season, Tissot similarly didn't have a huge amount of success either. It seemed like PR did a good jo denying Ottawa the flanks during the game. Haworth made his return from injury off the bench, had a couple nice runs but seemed understandably more tentative than usual.
Big_M
Fisk is very good technically and Trafford is very solid with good skills also. Will be interesting to see if some of our usl/nasl players who are playing well will get a shot in the mls, specially with two new teams coming in. Zem
Recap for the weekend of September 23-24 Miami FC 0-1 Puerto Rico FC Mason Trafford played 90 minutes at CB for Miami. He had a pretty good header off a FK in the 41st minute at a sharp angle that demanded a good save from Spangenberg, who had an exceptional game. He wasn't at fault for PR's 79th-minute game-winner, a Pablo Campos own goal off a FK. Fort Lauderdale Strikers 1-4 Tampa Bay Rowdies Nana Attakora started at RB and played 90 minutes for Fort Lauderdale. Not a great game for Nana or FTL as a whole as they got run over by Georgi Hristov (who scored a hat-trick) and the Rowdies despite opening the score in the 4th minute. Nana lost Hristov on the Rowdies' tying goal in the 15th minute. He wasn't directly involved in the Strikers' goal or any of TB's later goals, but it seems like he and others weren't getting back in time and the Strikers got repeatedly crushed on the counter. Jacksonville Armada 1-1 Rayo OKC Karl Ouimette started on the bench and came on as an injury-time substitute. Daniel Fernandes started and played 90 minutes for Rayo. Ottawa Fury 3-1 Minnesota United FC Eddie Edward started as a right outside CB and played 90 minutes. Played very well defensively, did a particularly good job containing Lance Laing who he battled with most of the night. Jamar Dixon started at right wing/wingback and played 90 minutes. Not as spectacular a game as he had last week in Minnesota, but very good nonetheless. He's looked far more confident and far more dangerous on the ball as of late, and again showcased his great athleticism and technique during the game, although he didn't show up on the scoresheet. Maxim Tissot started at left wing/wingback and played 90 minutes. Made a fantastic early, swerving cross in the 56th minute that completely fooled Damion Lowe, who dove to head it and missed, leaving Giuseppe Gentile with loads of space in the box to score Ottawa's tying goal. Carl Haworth started and came off in injury time. He's quickly getting back into form since returning from injury, looked great all game and masterminded Ottawa's second and third goals of the game. The first was a probing through ball that took a big deflection right to the feet of Williams, who scored from the edge of the box in the 82nd minute (Carl wasn't credited with an assist on the play as a result). The second was a clever pass from the edge of the box that found Lance Rozeboom in lots of space to cap off the win in the 86th minute. Haworth made a lot of great runs and drew lots of fouls, as usual. Kyle Porter made his return from injury as the aforementioned injury-time substitute for Carl Haworth. He made his last appearance for Ottawa on July 10. Mauro Eustaquio, Marcel DeBellis and Mallan Roberts sat on the bench. Carolina RailHawks 1-0 FC Edmonton Ben Fisk started at left wing and played 90 minutes. Nik Ledgerwood started in central midfield and played 90 minutes. Picked up a yellow in the 24th minute. Shamit Shome came on as a halftime substitute in midfield for Cristian Raudales. Drew Beckie wasn't in the 18 for Carolina, don't know if injured or otherwise.
