[ 4 ] I think that the all stars of League One Ontario have the edge in this match up. The league is in the third month of it's season. This is an older roster with many of the players playing soccer in Us colleges. Young players like Richards and Stratigakis also played for Canada in the 2015 CONCACAF Women's U20 Championship. And an older player like Christabel Oduro played pro recently in tier two Germany

rkomar
Does "taking out the AWIHL highest point scorer" mean that she won that award? Here in Canada, I would take that to mean that she either injured the highest point scorer or went out on a date with her.
tc-in-bc
^HaHaHa. I wonder if Christina Julien could ultimately end up playing for the Australian women's national ice hockey team? ( They could probably use her)

Zem
So the 2017 League1 Ontario season is over and FC London repeat as champions despite a slow start and win their first League Cup as well. Perhaps the biggest story of the season however is the league's leading scorer... Jade Kovacevic repeats as Golden Boot winner with (drum roll please) 40 goals in 20 appearances, individually out-scoring five entire teams and more than tripling up the next highest-scoring players (North Mississauga's Cassandra Briscoe and Laura Twidle with 13 goals apiece). It would be interesting to see if she could make the jump to a higher level because she is clearly way too good for League1 at the moment
Jamaicanadian
One of the best female players I have been fortunate to watch live. A forward that will pressure the opponent all over the pitch, very skillful and can finish. So weird that she is not playing for Canada? I'd be surprised/disappointed if she's back next year! tc-in-bc
2018 Season League One Ontario - Women's Division: Noticed that Rachel Melhado signed with Vaughan SC. Melhado played professionally for two seasons in the Frauen Bundesliga ( the top women's league in Germany) . Between 2015 and 2016 , Melhado was a 90-minute starter at center back for FF USV Jena . At the end of that season she returned to Canada for personal reasons and didn't play soccer in 2017. Her spot in Jena was filled by Shannon Woeller. https://www.league1ontario.com/news_article/show/911141
