The only thing I don't understand is whether or not we will be placed in one of the seeded pots during the WC draw, given our dominant performance in the Hex qualification process.

I do like that we would have Mexico last. Current form Mexico where that game may not matter to them.  Unless Mexico is like Mexico was in the last Hex, in which case, that's not ideal.

Now if only we could sign up the players and the coach, and go into Honduras with some REAL belief, not just bravado, and play with the kind of grit and determination we will need, we might just get a result.

Too many times I have seen us going into matches like this like lambs to the 8-1 slaughter. That had better not happen this time.

 

I took a 1-2 yr hiatus from this site after 8-1.  Another gut wrenching failure will probably have the same result.  Not implying I will be missed - just making conversation.

Jesus I hope we don't capitulate like that ever again.  That one hit me in the soul.
