They do that sometimes if a team requests it. I've never heard of a game being postponed unless there were at least 2 players called. Anybody know more?

I did some research and if what I read was correct, the rule is a minimum of 3 players have to be called up and a player that is loaned to the team can't count as one of the 3. In Simeon's case the three players are himself, Andreas Markis and Neil Etheridge. (http://www.bescotbanter.net/2016/08/bristol-rovers-clash-postponed-as-trio.html?m=1

Good information - I didn't know this!

Anyone notice that Honduras is playing Nicaragua on the 24th? Prep for us I imagine. Too bad we aren't doing the same thing.

Good, one less day of training for their senior players and one more opportunity for their U23's to con Pinto into playing them instead of a veteran.

Now that the Olympics are over the Honuran NT will be assembling Monday. This is the silver lining of their U23's making a run, one less week of training for their domestic players.

BTW their U23's lost 3-2 to Nigeria today. They got run roughshod for the first 60 minutes (3-0) until the Hondurans made a game of it (second goal was silly mistake by Nigerian keeper on a corner). First Honduran goal was a great cross by Quioto that Lozano finished well with his head. Quioto had a good tournament so hopefully Pinto gets fooled into picking him ahead of Martinez or Garcia on one of the flanks.

Nicaragua not bringing their strongest lineup. Strange that they are selling tickets already for the Canada game in SPS but not for this game in Tegu. Is it behind closed doors?

This  is  the  most  perfect  moment  to  end  the  misery   from  that  8  -  1   drubbing    4  years  ago   .   I  hope  some  members  of  Team  Canada  realize  this  .   Leaving  Honduras    even  with  a  point   would  be  good.   But  why  stop  there  go  there   and  grab  all  three  points,  Why  not   we  have  beaten  them  before.

Johnny Palacios (fans are calling him Malacios after his horrid game against Brasil) has joined training in SPS. Apparently only 7 players have arrived so far - weird.

Speculation is that the Hondurans will field 3 forwards with Lozano in the middle and Elis and Quioto on the wings. Please god, let this be true!

edit: "mal" in Spanish, as in French, means "bad". Clever.

You can also guess half the team from the things they tagged in the photo.

For real.

Interested to see the Fury on there with JdG injured. Assume it means Tissot is being called, unless they decide to give Haworth a spot based on recent form? I doubt it though...
