Andy Livingstone Park rental confirmed for 12:00 - 2pm Friday. We've theoretically got a person limit of 50 people but I'm honestly not sure how hardcore Vancouver Parks will be on Good Friday. Also they informed me we can't have banners or anything that could be seen as some form of advertising/commercialisation. Did you guys in the Southside have all this fucking red tape thrown at you when setting up your games? Also, the most convoluted fucking online rental system I have EVER used!

Rental came to $110 taxes in so assuming we get around 25 people it'll be $5 a pop. We have full access to two change rooms plus the showers there, so we can allocate one to guys and one to ladies. Other groups will be able to get in and out of the change rooms so please don't leave your stuff in them, take it out field-side. Can someone please remember to bring a good ball/a few good balls. Also can someone please bring nets and duct tape? I haven't gotten a straight answer as to whether the goals there will already have nets in them or not.

Please bring one white top and one red top - we'll divide into white vs. red for the game.

We (Pender crew) will bring pinnies as well.

I've got a couple of questions :

1) I'm a relatively new supporter (as can be seen by my profile). Are newer people welcome?

2) I haven't played in a year or so. My general concern is I don't want to get injured. How competitve/what level are these games generally played at?

You must have a minimum of 100 posts on the forum in order to be eligible to play. :P

I am hoping general pick-up game with old guys for at least part of it ie: no slide tackles, friendly kinda game.

It's very friendly. Everyone tried hard but no one was out to recapture non-existent former glory. Now mind you, @Tuscan wasn't there, so this time there will be at least one person trying and failing to show how good he is. Avoid him at all costs. This should be easy because he's slower than I am despite being almost 15yrs younger and is shorter than Diana Matheson.

Newness is irrelevant :). Everyone is welcome.

Last time we played, it was a "true friendly". The range of skilled varied, and everyone was out for a good time. No tackling, and we only called offsides if it was really obvious. Everyone is welcome!

The bonus is you get to meet all the Voyageurs that live in their parents basement ;)
