Dub Narcotic
Starting now: Fury vs. Minnesota (OttawaFury.com) NASL semi-final. Next: Impact @ Columbus. (TSN) After Timbers @ Whitecaps (TSN)
Dub Narcotic
LOL, crazy game already at 5'. Heinemann got robbed by the United keeper and now Minnesota has a somewhat controversial penalty.
Dub Narcotic
1-0 United at the half after the penalty but it's been all Ottawa really. Heinemann has missed two complete sitters. Fury are way too wound up about the referee but I thought it was a penalty. Ubiparipovic is really a good player at this level.
Dub Narcotic
1-1 heading into ET. The fantastic Heinemann scored a very deserved equalizer around 48' but the game ran out of steam shortly after. Impact game starting now.
Dub Narcotic
Montreal already down 1-0 at 13' to a Kamara header and he just knocked one off the crossbar that he probably should have scored.
Dub Narcotic
Didn't see the goal but Heinemann scored at 114' for Ottawa.

Dub Narcotic
2-1 at FT, Finlay tied up it deservedly for the Crew, Bush saved a penalty after an awful call on Ciman. ET starting now.

Dub Narcotic
Kamara scores in ET and Columbus is through. Don't think Drogba made a run after 60'. Piatti missed a golden chance in ET. Biello kept a sub in his pocket inexplicably.
BearcatSA
Kamara scores in ET and Columbus is through. Don't think Drogba made a run after 60'. Piatti missed a golden chance in ET. Biello kept a sub in his pocket inexplicably. Reo-Coker, Camara, and Venegas were all subs.
Dub Narcotic
You are correct, last time I listen to Vic Rauter (who I actually really enjoyed tonight).

hamiltonfan
what a special atmosphere at BC place for the Canadian anthem and kickoff....hope we can replicate it on Friday.
PaulV
Dallas-Seattle was crazy. Three goals in the last 10 minutes, it alternated looking certain that either team were going through but ended up even in aggregate. Went to penalties. Dallas goalkeeper ended up the hero. Very entertaining game. Too bad about the Impact, but great for the Fury. Hopefully the 'Caps will come back and prevail but I'm probably not going to stay up. toontownman
Very dissapointing performance from Vancouver today. Manneh was a big loss. Far too sloppy, far too easily bullied off the ball, far too easily exposed down the left. Don't see goals coming from anywhere. If one does it will likely be too late. Olympique_de_Marseille
...and all 3 Vancouver subs are done. No playing time for Teibert. He should have very fresh legs on Friday.
Soccerpro
The Whitecaps have been absolutely useless offensively for months now. Today was no different. No Canadians on the pitch and no idea how to score.
Unnamed Trialist
Portland clearly out played us, both legs I'd say. Their second half was excellent. Of the last 8 teams, the technically worst was clear WCFC, sorry to say. Very little football going on out there. We had a good year, we can be happy, but I am not sure there is that much to build on for a similar result next year. I think we are going to have to start again with about 4-5 key pieces. And yes, bastards, I got up at 4 AM to watch this, at least I caught the end of the Sounders being eliminated, small consolation. So off to work then.... Dub Narcotic
Vancouver was completely dominated for 180 minutes by Portland. Portland is an excellent team but Vancouver has been bad for a while now. The Uruguayan influx looks like a bust, their DPs are a disaster and Carl Robinson seems unable to adjust tactically. A successful season in a lot of ways but the end to the season leaves a very sour taste. With all three DP spots already spoken for next year Vancouver is going to have trouble fixing their attacking problems.
TRM
Our attacking options revolve around hitting the ball long to Rivero or hoping Manneh can create openings with his pace. Our team needs some players replaced. Earnshaw & Rosales are too old and need to move on. Mostly we need to have a healthy Pedro and other players in the midfield working offensively. Playing with 2 DMs left us short on attack yet we seldom played without them. Good news is that Ousted, Waston & Laba are all solid and young so our spine is fine. The Dallas vs Seattle game was excellent and the best team won so I don't think Portland will have much of a chance with their suspensions and Dallas on form. Tesho looked great. davey_twelve
I only caught the last 5-10 minutes of the DAL/SEA game and Tesho made several good plays. Wish I saw more of that one.
