Shway 3,779
.... Do we really, trully think having the roof open is a tactic?
king1010 1,538
.... Do we really, trully think having the roof open is a tactic? not sure. better open with the low tn being 6 degrees as opposed to closed though
JDub 119
.... Do we really, trully think having the roof open is a tactic? Yes I do. It is currently 37 degrees in Honduras. It is 11 in Vancouver. So any of the visiting team that plays at home on a regular basis this change will be quite a shock. This is why a lot of people were calling for the game to be played somewhere outdoors.

Deltron 1
Well there is a high of -8 today in Whitehorse, maybe we can move the match there!
jpg75 13
If every other federation tries to gain a home field advantage then we should be doing the same thing. There is no dishonour in having the roof opened so that we play the game in single digit temperatures. By the way, the Hondurans just spent the last week in Houston where the daily high was in the mid-20's. Looks like the rain passed over because the forecast is for 1mm this afternoon. Game time temp. of about 9C. Vancouver Fan and MtlMario
Steedman 51
Really pumped for this game. Don't know if it's the new faces, the promising showing against Ghana, or just blind Canadian pride, but I can't wait for Kick off. Let's go Canada. MtlMario
Vancouver Fan 60
What are the chances of it snowing today? It snowed on Grouse last night. If Hondurans somehow look north they will see that "Winter is Coming."

Obinna 9,027
For Whitecaps fans that go to BC Place on the regular, is there really a difference in having the roof open? Is it noticeably colder?
red card 1,133
Honduran journos were jogging on the spot to keep warm during training yesterday and the roof was closed. And Canadian players were wearing winter coats. If Honduras thought weather was an issue for them, they wouldn't have trained in Houston.
Canada1 45
Everyone going to the match tonight take care. Awful news coming out of Paris at this time. over 60 dead and 100 held hostage at a concert. The bomb could be heard outside the France and Germany match.
aloyol 627
This was a very exciting day until that happened. Very sad news out of Paris. Edited November 13, 2015 by aloyol

If Honduras thought weather was an issue for them, they wouldn't have trained in Houston. don't think it was a wise decision by honduras to train in 25 degree weather in the lead up to a game played in 5 to 10 degree weather. would love to see them "not thinking weather was an issue" backfire on them Edited November 13, 2015 by king1010
norvansupport 6
For Whitecaps fans that go to BC Place on the regular, is there really a difference in having the roof open? Is it noticeably colder? Yes, a breeze usually picks up when the roof is open. It can be brisk in there usually however I'd expect it to be cold tonight.
Olympique_de_Marseille 3,326
Awful news coming out of Paris at this time. Since tension is obviously running high, I think everybody should avoid flares/smoke bombs tonight whatever the result may be. Don't try and bring those into the stadium.
