Simon Thomas has signed with Bodo/Glimt of the Tippeligaen on a 3 year deal. Not sure where he stands in the depth chart as of yet. But, good to see him moving up in the world after moving around from place to place his whole career.

Fantastic move for the new Canadian national team player. Three years gives him some comfortable job security too!

Did a bit of research and seems to be a great situation for Thomas. Bodo's starting keeper and Estonian national team keeper Pavel Londak is will sign elsewhere and their backup has health issues and is also leaving the team. They plan to sign a starter and backup this year so hopefully Thomas is intended to be the starter but even if not a great opportunity to win a spot. I suspect he may be expected to be the starter given Bodo has been a bit of a bounce team between the 1st and 2nd tier recently so are probably not big budget.

If he becomes the second goal it's not a good move IMO. Better tot get some games under your belt especially as a goalkeeper. But if he starts or at least get's the chance to challenge the nr. 1, nice upward move. Time will tell.

I was checking Regionalliga-games (Stanese is back from injury) and I noticed Lucas Menz was playing for Nord-Ost division side Viktoria Berlin. It was his 4th start this season. It's not a strong division nor is Viktoria a strong club, but at least he's playing. Also, living in Berlin is probably not too bad either.

Edit: here's an article about Menz on the clubs website:

http://www.viktoria-berlin.de/aktuell/news/meldung/2015/11/06/lucas_menz_vom_bieberfluss_zum_teltowkanal/

It doesn't say to much, a bit about his history (born in Frankfurt, then moved to Canada with his English dad and German Mother), that he could have signed an extension in Offenbach but that he wanted to be the first keeper somewhere. After Viktoria's #1 took on an administrative role, Viktoria 1889 needed a first goalkeeper. Two days after he signed with them he played his first game. It didn't go too well but he redeemed himself in the next matches. Trainer says he's an upgrade to the team.

Oh good find! I wondered what happened to him!

Sam Adekugbe will be training with Brighton until December 20th, WCFC announce.

Fantastic to hear, they're in a good spot to get promoted and if he impresses, he could easily be looking to move up. He looked exceptional for his age prior to his injury and never managed to get his spot back so hopefully this'll be good for him

I deleted it because I had a brain malfunction forgetting Sam is now cap tied from the Belize match.  So, my point was pointless!

So do you have the same issue that once you quote something you can't get rid of the quote? It happens to me all the time and then i can't delete my post, haha.

Sasa Plavsic leaves IK Frej after 2 seasons. http://www.ikfrej.se/group/2766/post/643609

Also Sweden's FA is implementing new foreigner restrictions, which could have bad effects for Canadains there.

New rules in Sweden for next year. Only teams in the 3 (2 for women) top divisions are allowed to sign non-EU players (this doesn't affect players with permanent residency). Teams in div. 1 & Elitettan (W 2nd div). Are only allowed to sign non-Eu players on a 1year contract. Unfortunately its not unusual with collective punishment from Swedish FA. Not sure how this affects Alex Hainault for example.

Tyler Blackwood is a team mate of Petrasso's.  Seems like a joke to me with Blackwood pretending to be a fan... if there was any truth to it surely there would be a better means of communication between teammates than a comment on a public photo.

Interesting. Seems a little bizarre that a teammate would do that, especially considering there's no talk anywhere else of him leaving.
