I think it must have been by mutual accord, as up to that point they were subbing him in and he was captain. They had a great season and while never near a European spot they were not at risk of relegation, so it was not a pressure situation that pushed him out. He is on the Azores, in a beautiful location, my take is that he must be warming into doing his coaching certification or is playing to just stay in shape, as there would be virtually no pay for him there. I am certain he could land another year or two of contract with a 2nd tier team on the mainland if he really wanted to go. Pacheco signs for another Azorean club, CD Rabo de Peixe, who will play in the third-tier Campeonato for the 2020-21 season: https://www.rtp.pt/acores/desporto/pedro-pacheco-reforco-do-desportivo-de-rabo-de-peixe-na-proxima-epoca-video_66271 https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.record.pt/futebol/futebol-nacional/campeonato-de-portugal/amp/rabo-de-peixe-com-cinco-reforcos-ja-garantidos Edited July 3, 2020 by nolando Unnamed Trialist, Obinna and johnyb

aredding77
Malik Owolabi-Belewu Born July 3, 2002. Centre-Back currently with Toronto FC academy U-19's. https://twitter.com/justinowolabi16 I realize that probably isn't the greatest source, but according to this website which details various Nigerian soccer players, he has been invited to train with Chelsea with a possibility of a transfer from TFC. The article also goes on to say that he's also being looked at by R.S.C. Anderlecht of the Belgian Jupiler Pro League. https://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=36427 I followed him on Instagram and it looks like he landed in England a few weeks ago and is training with a local football trainer. Seems promising! Bison44 and johnyb
Bison44
Oh oh, eligible for Nigeria, ENgland and Canada, and going to Chelsea??? It seems like I have heard this before, and it didnt work out well for Canada. That story is all over the net, but I think it all tracks back to the one source you listed.
