Anyone know whatever happened to the Canadian kid of Iranian background who was playing in Iran’s top division who was let go back in September of last year I think? He played for one of Iran’s top teams I think.

Here is the full match video of the first match he played and started with them..played 90..gonna watch it over the weekend to see his level

barely watched one half and im done..low quality soccer..huge amount of unforced errors..passes simply off target..lots of unnecessary clearances..hemati started strong but then got beat near the box and took a yellow by fouling and after that made a few mistakes on the ball..gotta see him in a more challenging environment to see if he can play at a higher level or mls

Pedro Pacheco did not play and hardly dressed for Santa Clara after the January transfer window. I think it must have been by mutual accord, as up to that point they were subbing him in and he was captain. They had a great season and while never near a European spot they were not at risk of relegation, so it was not a pressure situation that pushed him out.

He is on the Azores, in a beautiful location, my take is that he must be warming into doing his coaching certification or is playing to just stay in shape, as there would be virtually no pay for him there. I am certain he could land another year or two of contract with a 2nd tier team on the mainland if he really wanted to go.

Pacheco signs for another Azorean club, CD Rabo de Peixe, who will play in the third-tier Campeonato for the 2020-21 season:

I realize that probably isn't the greatest source, but according to this website which details various Nigerian soccer players, he has been invited to train with Chelsea with a possibility of a transfer from TFC.  The article also goes on to say that he's also being looked at by R.S.C. Anderlecht of the Belgian Jupiler Pro League.

I followed him on Instagram and it looks like he landed in England a few weeks ago and is training with a local football trainer.  Seems promising!
