NEW Mother of all Canucks Abroad (and domestic)

I was expecting Toje to post this, as he just sent me the tip by pm and some details, I researched it a bit more.

Spencer Hubble, who is a GISS academy player, signed in January for the u-19s of Leganés, in Spanish top flight. He is with their u-19 C team. I am not sure if he's played yet, so wondering if he's not 18 yet and can't.

Will start posting more on Bakr Abdelaoui, born Finland but raised Montreal, who we have listed correctly: he was also a GISS Academy player, signed for Getafe last spring, then for Leganés B in fourth tier start of this season. And is playing, more and more so, though I think he's a '97, so young, ,but if he is playing for the competitive reserve side of a La Liga club we should be paying more attention. He's a tricky mid from what I gather.

I don't speak Italian but it looks like Zoom Langwa got some paperwork approved with Triestina.

Indeed, sounds like paperwork had been held up due to his age. But seems to have been resolved. He needed a Student Visa in order to comply with residency rules. (or something like that).

Yikes, that's a terrible level for Monsalve. If he's in the national team picture, then Crepeau, Farago, Carducci, Irving, Melvin, Roberts' careers have all gone south. Unfortunate that things went bad for him in Edmonton, if he had stayed healthy maybe he'd be playing at a better level 5 years later.

Swedish 3rd tier? Not likely. Surprised since i thought he'd do well back in the Veikkausliiga, which is a higher level.

Husqvarna aren't a bad team in their division, and it's presumably a starting role there while he was signed by Turku as a backup.

My take, Monsalve signed out of necessity: first time minutes, ok level of play, and a pay check. I suspect he is keen on leveraging this experience to move up a league and quickly..perhaps the summer window.

Regarding standard of play:  Tier 3 (Division 1) Sweden is a level above USL Pro and would challenge mid-lower NASL clubs

Karman Saini was also announced by Länk as having signed at Husqvarna a couple of weeks ago but that post looks to have been taken down and he doesn't appear on their site or others such as transfermarkt. He still is listed by an article of Ontario Soccer posted March 30th as signed to Husqvarna and on twitter says he has signed a pro contract.

Something fishy there. If I had to guess, something went wrong with Länk and he cut ties with them then signed elsewhere. Where he is now is the question.

Not entirely sure if relevant, but Bruno Zebie (who has played for FC Edmonton during an emergency callup) will play for Calgary Foothills this year.

Did he play for Edmonton Green & Gold? I think I watched him play for them at the 2016 Challenge Cup Nationals.
