I think Pasher makes the jump to the first team next year. He's a strong wide player with good skills and speed to burn.

I wouldn't say it's super surprising. The Fury have always rated Marcel highly but I imagine they are looking for a third keeper who could compete with him for a starting role in case he didn't turn out to be up to snuff given that he's still very inexperienced; i.e. it wouldn't have been what Marcel wants (and needs), which is an uncontested starting role.

It's also possible that the guy who scouted him in Italy and brought him back to NA in the first place, Marc Dos Santos, wants him in San Fran. Otherwise I think he would be better able to get the playing time he needs elsewhere in the USL, somewhere in Europe or maybe even in League1 for a time.

A Canadian was on a short trial with Banik Ostrava (Czech Republic 2nd division) last week and played in a friendly against a 3rd division side Hlucin.  Apparently he is a midfielder, and didn't impress that much, so Banik will not look at him any further.

The manager of Banik said that they are looking for higher quality players. He also said that for tactical reasons, the name of the player (and other player on trial) will not be released. :huh:

The club wrote me back, and they said that the player's agent requested that the identity of the player shouldn't be released.

Would explain why i couldn't find him playing with the youth team

That is quite a step up, who is this guy then?

Edit: he's from Mississauga but the web page says he has ambitions of playing for India.
